what about current year's placement? IMT nagpur has one of the best campus in INDIA..the only thing concerning me is the placement issue
Reposting an earlier reply that answers many queries above.
Collated reply to common queries.
1) Yes, applications have been extended till 20th Feb. This is with a view to accommodate entries for XAT and CMAT based aspirants.
2) You will have to update your XAT/GMAT/CMAT scores through the admissions portal. We are doing some final testing on the portal. The facility will be enabled soon. Please be patient.

The error related to updating the XAT examination year displayed as 2012 instead of 2013 has to worked out.
3) GD-PI calls are being emailed to candidates, starting with those above 90 percentile. The calls to those above 90 percentile have ALMOST been sent. This process will probably be over by today. The others will be getting their calls soon. I know - it's not a very convenient process but that's how things stand as of now.
Here are the start dates for the GD-PI processes - Ghaziabad Feb 6 Bangalore Feb 7 Mumbai Feb 3 Kolkata Feb6 Hyderabad Feb 3 Nagpur Feb 6 People who apply in the latest deadline extension phase – arnd 28th Jan to 20th feb - will get only 3 options for GD-PI centres - Ghaziabad, Nagpur and Hyderabad.
Also, ur GD-PI process will be a little late - after the current schedule has been exhausted.
4) Process will be - a) document verification, b) Group discussion (including a written summary on the case, c) Personal Interview)
In the final selection, there is 50% weightage to entrance test scores.
i)The first PART of the GD-PI shortlist is on the basis of CAT results only.
The second part of the list, based on XAT/GMAT will come up a few days later – after those scores have been uploaded and processed – all it means is that the XAT/GMAT interviews will start a few days after the first GD-PI processes start.
ii) The emails for the same will be sent out phase-wise - first for a few centres, then later on for the other centres. So don't panic if you have a good score and you don't get a call in the first release of Gd-PI emails.
iii) If you have not given CAT but only XAT/GMAT – you will not get a call in the first list but later on.
So what it means is that you will NOT get 2 interview calls. But for final evaluation, your best score will be taken.
So, to sum up, We have the following possibilities:
a) You get a good CAT score and get the campus call you want.
b) You couldn't do well in CAT - you didn't get a call for IMT at all OR
c) Based on your CAT score, you got a call under the Nagpur or Hyderabad campus.
Do attend the interview. The interview is a standardised metric, used across all campuses.
Later, when your XAT results are considered -
d) you didn't get a call at all earlier - but now you get one.
e) you got a call for Nagpur/Hyd earlier, attended the interview - but your XAT score is good enough to qualify you for a Ghaziabad convert - then your XAT score will be considered for final evaluation and Not the CAT score.
Let's make one thing very clear - IMT is Not forcing you to join any campus. The choice is up to you.
6) Specialisation preferences – you will have to provide these in a separate form – when you get a GD-PI call.

The average placemtn is 6.5 lakhs and the highest package is 15 lakhs. Various highly esteemed companies visited the campus for placements this year. IMT Nagpur is just 9 years old and is still progressing towards being t par with its sister concern IMT-G

@Anubha.imt impressive indeed..but the fact that 230 people placed last year out of 270 bugging me..I've seen IMT nagpur campus in facebook page and completely blown away..but I'll have to take a loan so assured placement would have been great

Doesnt everyone has the same concern? 'ROI' . But if so many of us students have invested that kind of money for IMT Nagpur brand then there must be rationale behind it :)

@Anubha.imt I agree with u that the CMAT FEB 2013 scores and other requisites can later be sent to the admisions department..BUT.. we have to select whether we r applying with FEB CMAT scores as well on the portal.. on SELECTING YES.. and leaving the other fields concerning the same as blank..the submission process cant be completed...IS THIS A TECHNICAL GLITCH..? and IF WE SELECT NO.. then do we totally NULLIFY the possibility of applying via CMAT as well.....Kindly Reply

IT wont be edited now as it has been clearly mentioned that there is room for no errors at this stage. But not to worry. Once you give CMAT Feb, you need to send an email at [email protected] and send them a mail mentioning your Feb score.
