The popular Annual Sports Fest of K. J. Somaiya Institute of Management Studies and Research (SIMSR), Elan-e-Yudh, organized by the Sports Committee was held at the Institute from August 21 to August 24, 2019 with great enthusiasm. It is an intra sports event organized to welcome the junior batch wherein it provides with an opportunity to showcase their talent in various sports like athletics, basketball, squash, lawn tennis, volleyball, football, badminton, chess and many more. SIMSR believes in all round development of students and thus sports is celebrated during these days with great zeal.
Shailaja Ma'am, currently the Programme Officer for PGDM Core and PGDM Healthcare has been working at SIMSR for 6 years.
She says that she stays so motivated to work at SIMSR because of the respect she gets from both current and ex students. Her strong connection with the students is one of the main driving factors for her.
Another very important factor is the friendly work environment of the college and the corporation that she gets from the faculty. This helps in making her work very smooth.

As a part of the Women livelihood development project initiated by Pathfinder- the E-Cell of SIMSR in collaboration with K.J. Somaiya Centre for Buddhist Studies, the members of Pathfinder visited the nearby towns of Shirdi and Manmad to promote entrepreneurship among rural women.
SIMSR held Nostalgia 2019, where all the alums were invited to the campus for a day long event to relive their memories. The event hosted by Alumini Committee of SIMSR felicitated the batch of 1989 for completion of 30 years of their post graduation. The event also recognised various other Alumni for their excellence in their respective fields.
The theme of the event was La Gran Fiesta where various interactive sessions and engaging activities were held throughout the day which made the Alumni feel proud of their Alma Mater.
