I got 99.38 percentile in mat feb,my academic background is:-
10th-91%
12th-71.8%
btech(mech)- 63.02%
work-ex-17 months
topped district in class 8th(state rank also)
topped in many intra school competitions and got schlorships(academics)
software certified developer in mnc.


is it worth for me to join top mat colleges or can i get reputed b-schools,if i get high cat percentile on this profile .my current package is 4.35 lakh/annum.but, I am willing to do mba in finance.

@ayush371 Going by your profile, i can say that you are pretty decent guy(academics). I would suggest you to try for top 30 B-schools only as other colleges will fetch you the same package that you have already got. (Please forget MAT, your profile isn't suited for MAT colleges as you have a good experience too). all the best

@senorita28 I think you should TIer 1 top colleges----1Christ 2. Alliance, Bangalore 3. BIMTECH . Indira Business Schools, PUNE .5BIMM, PUNE, 5. ITM, Mumbai--these are best MAT colleges....3.50 lacs to 8 lacs....sal package

2.TIER II(NOR good neither too bad)--JIMS, Rohini, NDIM, EMPI,Apejay, Dwarka, JAypee School of Managment, Amity, NIILM, IILM(package 16000 to 50,000 for all these colleges) JIMS and NDIM--average package--16000 pm-18000pm to 35000 pm. Thy both are same.(1.85 to 5.5 lacs package range)

JAypee scool of management, EMPI, AMity, Apeejay---3.0 lacs to 5.5 lacs max salr package

i'll surely prefer dat one over ne1else under mat....but i'm moreover looking into north.....

Instead of doing in a very specialized field rather look for MBA in dual specialization like Finance with Marketing/HR etc... which always has a wide acceptance by any and every industry vertical.

@Dearjohn thnx for ur suggestion... but alliance fee is too high .... n my first pref. would always be north,,, then ya i can keep it as an option

comparing JIMS n NDIM... JIMS is better

IILM is out of question. UPES is good but depends on which program. Amity only for main program but if you are ok with high fee. Jaipuria noida is better among the options.

BIMM, ITM, UPES (depends on program and your academic bckgrd), jims, ndim, amity. Forget about others.
