@pm199010- copywriting is like giving short punch lines and creating few lines for a particular product and content wiritng is writing 500 words SEO articles everyday. These articles may range upto 10 articles per day. So lots of online writing has depleted my writing quality and the industry in this field doesn't offer package more than 20 or 30,000. I feel, i don't want to remain a content writer for my whole life and want to perform at a much bigger platform where i can manage a team, work at the top senior level--hierarchy and interact with clients. Sitting for near 10 man hours every day in the office has made a dumb person, where you just write on same concepts everyday and at the end of the day, you are left frustrated. I am badly confused guys. I want to be just more dynamic. Need some honest opinions guys......
@pm199010- yaar, see, their is lots of scope in advertisement only if you try your career in brand management, product development and customer relationship executive. You can grow a lot in this field. But once you are in Mass comm, you won't be able to do maths or accounts stuff. You will stay away from all logical stuff and you will land in more creative platform. In the field of advertising, copy writing offers good scope and after 4 to 5 years you will become Sr.copywriter, the after 4+3 years of work ex, you will get an opportunity to become a creative head. But during this point of time, excessive writing will just slow down your morale level(that's what has happened to me; too much work has just screwed my whole enthusiasm and companies sometime don't bother to pay you the deserved amount). So its better if you are choosing mass comm then go for product development where you will get a chance to interact with the clients, understand the industry, business environment and may get extra incentives+ an opportunity to become manager very soon. I am doing an MBA because i don't want to work in small companies or say start ups with low budget. May be MAT colleges may not provide you 10 lacs package but if i will see the brighter side, i can also get 5 to 6 lacs or may be less but at the end of the day, it's mental satisfaction. I can earn good package, if will perform well.

actually the person to whom i hv quoted this reply wanted to get placed in a company that offers 7 + lpa.....so when in this regard he asked me the criteria,i told 90% companies(that offer 7+ lpa) demands a consistent academics record of 60 criteria ,forgot to mention the bracket term(as it ws discussed in PM) 😛 .....though of-course ,this does not stand true,if one consider companies with different ranges of 'package' n profile offered.

Yes, their marketing dept is good. Curriculum also has good number of marketing electives available.
@richa2223 IBS is an university it does not require AICTC approval moreova its UGC approved..IBS-H is a bettr option if fees is nt an issue
ICFAI has university only at Hydrabad, Jaipur and Dehradun. There the offer MBA but all other campuses of IBS offer PGPM which is not approved by UGC or AICTE.

Need your opinion....hi Amm!! i am damn confused. I am already having an experience of 4.5 years in the field of content writing and now i am badly pissed off with my current job profile. I want to now explore the bigger platforms in the field of corporate communications+marketing+brand management+PR. I am confused whether switching from one field to another by doing a regular MBA/PGDM is the right decision or should i stay in my own field that is content writing and harness better opportunities in my on going job profile. My mind has got saturated after doing same type of work--with no hierarchy level. Is changing the field a right decision? I am a post graduate in Mass comm and i have already cleared the GD/PI of two know colleges...like JIMS as well as Apeejay?Hitzzz......
Honestly, I would suggest you to take a year off and prepare for CAT. Aim for top colleges.
If for any reason you want to take admission this year only then JIMS is good for general management, Jaipuria Noida has some good courses in marketing and advertising and EMPI also has a decent program on advertising. This in case you are looking at North. For west you can look at sies, bimm and Christ.
But with experience you should aim for top colleges through CAT.
@kishan06 yeah...jaipuria noida provides super specialization course in marketing, but i think all seats hv been filled fr dat program.. you can call and confirm..
