Well most of the good colleges dont participate in Sept MAT...also the score is a bit on the lower side :/...so its advisable you try for Dec/Feb MAT with better prep and score atleast 85+%ile :)
Hello puys,I got 193 marks in CMAT 2012 and my rank was 5303.To which colleges should i apply ? Is this mark enough for a GIM call..?
This thread is specificly for MAT and MAT Colleges related queries,,Kindly direct your query in a more appropreiate thread for CMAT(link is given below)
how maney attemps shold be ther in mat to get above 90%iles?
Its never fixed...it all depends on difficulity level of paper.. but to be on the safer side....roughly say...Balanced sectionals of around 22+ attempts per section..i.e total attempts around 100...with a 85-90 + % accuracy,,should fetch you a Decent score. :)
@prinqs Its pretty good and one of the better options for colleges under MAT. But you can always consider raising the stakes and taking another forward leap :)
I got 98.05 percentile in MAT Sept 2012. Please guide me about good institutes taking MAT scores? Also, please guide me about, which would be a better bet - Christ College or Alliance University? Also please inform me about IILM-GSM. Specifically in terms of ROI (Return over Investment)

Congrats on your good score :)
but most of the good institutes dont participate in Sept Mat ...so its advisable you sit for Dec/Feb MAT for all the good options :)
stil just for the info The Better ones under MAT(order in terms of ROI)
JIMS, Rohini(Delhi)(Best ROI) IMDR, Pune SIES, Mumbai Christ, Banglore(only this one i guess is in Sept MAT..though m not sure)
if you are expecting good ROI...Alliance is not the one you should be looking for(Very high fees)
Does anybody has any good idea or knowledge about infinity business school? Never seen the name in any b-school ranking. But still their cut off marks are high.
@IamDivii u can apply to any b-school listed by you thru MAT sept...though they are not listed but they will accept MAT sept acore... u jst go to individual sites and chk..they all have option called sept MAT or dec MAT or feb MAT....
now in rpl to ur ans...
i can not tell u which is better but i can throw some light on both institute.. ( once i and my some frnds also had these two option and i choose christ and my some frnds choose alliance)
christ fees 6 lac around avg placement: 5 to 5.5 being max 12lac and min 3 lac one of the good campus in d middle of city (another kengeri campus is outside city) awesome audi diversity very strict
alliance 12 lac fees + compulsary hostel fees extra avg 5 to 5.5 being max 12 and min 3.5 lac good campus and outside city not so strict
now u think...u would like to go with ROI or other parameters.
@ht102 no prob...jst go to the admission criteria and check wheather they accept graduation percentile below 50 or not mentioned... one thing u must do is u shud be able to justify ur marks
