@rutvikpatel Thanks a lot for replying, but can you name a few institutes which are not so obsessed about the 50% criterion.
And regarding the justification, I started working after 12th standard because my family's financial position was not very strong at that time. Was not able to balance full time job and studies. Also, SOL is kind of notorious for giving out low scores. Only a handful score respectable percentages.

1. u dont give gd/pi , you wont get through any good college.. its a part of process with weightage of atleast 30-60% depending upon colleges

Why don't you find out about Infinity Business School. I am very sure if you visit it once, you'll love it ! They actually dont have any resident faculty. All the faculty are current or ex profs of IIMA, IIML, IIMC, FMS, MDI, XLRI, ISB, etc and also some of the faulty are leading corporates. Do have a look at this institute, its been gaining a lot of popularity recently. The only reason for an "unheard name" (as you might think) is that the institute never chose to advertise. But the level of education and learning is beyond imagination. Do visit the campus, the admission process has already started I guess for July 2013 batch.
