In current job market scenario it is not advisable to go for such 'very specific' domain MBA. U should keep your gamut big and should not try to shrink it to so specific.

it has an avg placement of 5-6 lakh
and this time highest ws abt 12 lakh +
it offers really good exposure to the students

Last time when i knew they had avg of 2.75 with only 70 % were placed !! Get ur facts cleared when u post such comment

Marketing is not domain specific and it is a profile. MIS is a domain/sub sector. You can have marketing in any sector FMCG, KPO, Health, Manufacturing, Banks, etc. But MIS is a very specific role and not present in all organizations.
Also if pgdm has dual specialization then your options open up further beyond just marketing. you can opt for finance / HR / Operations / IT or what ever other options they offer. This opens up more avenues for you in the job market...

@Dupamanyu Well UPES is no doubt a good colg bt the only problem is that it is a very narrow sector based colg .... it wil provide u with good specializtion bt switching fields wil b a very difficult task + a metro city wil giv u more exposure than dehradun .... wich is a very imp . fact to b considered .....

iilm gurgaon aur lr kab se top league me aa gaye??? unapproved programs, less than 3 lak avg salary, student unsatisfied, sr. faculty leaving very often. kyu bewakoof bana rahe ho. kuch to ethics honge dil me???
@Anuj07 - btw u are talking to someone who knows iilm very well ....
i am from the placement department and there are companies like Delliotte , smartcube that visited iilm this time...
as well as a student hs been recruited for internship in the HR dept of Rolls Royce as well with a heavy stipend ...... so u get ur sources right ...... 😃

The true picture is that iilm is in really bad shape. 80 bache bhi nahi hai ggn campus me jahan 500 ki strenght thi 3-4 saal pehle. dec ka approval dikate hai wo bi 2008 ka jo ki renew nahi hua.
avg 2.7 lak, no mat / cat required for admission, 9 lak ki fee phir 50% scholarship de ke bacho ko bewakoof banana, faculty pe naam pe 2 saal senior class me padha rahe hai. as per aicte it is black listed. admission walo ka naam faculty me dikha rakha hai iilm gsm walo ne...
ignou se koi tieup nahi hai. iilm apne risk pe join karo aur is forum pe gumrah karne ki koshish na karo.

aap ke official thread pe likha hua hai ye sab by iilm students. aur agar bacho ne transfer liya to unhe pehle galat bol ke admission kyu diya college ne??
Jo bacha scholarship me nahi aata wo campus chodh ke chala jata hai kya?
I know there few very good students who get good jobs because they came on 100% scholarships and were excellent in academics. But the question is about majority of others who are taken in even without mat/cat and then are told to sit for sep mat then dec mat and so on....
