or It is allowed to carry any of the valid primary IDs.

The capital of a company, Estyle, is made of 75,000 preferred shares with a dividend of 15% and 20,000 common shares, with the par value of each type of share as Rs 10. The total profit of Estyle was Rs 2,40,000 of which Rs. 40,000 was kept in a reserve fund. The remaining profit was distributed to the shareholders. What would be the difference in the dividend percentage given to the common shareholders if the amount kept away in the reserve fund was reduced to Rs 25,000?
Guys, i have my NMAT tomorrow!
In my admit card the date of the exam is not mentioned! There are 3 blanks for the date. Is it how it is supposed to be or is there any problem?
And what else do we need to carry to the centre? Any last minute tip?
Guy those who have taken nmat as well as test funda mock , could tell me what marks in TF can be considered as relative to NMAT cutoff ..?
Guys, it's my humble request to all of you. Please DO NOT SHARE the vocabulary questions you get in your NMAT exam on social forums. I see so many people thoughtlessly posting the list of questions. By doing so, you are not only vitiating the hard work put in by thousands of candidates but you are also contracting your chances of getting selected. It's true you should not be selfish and help others, but the help rendered should not belittle others' hard work.
The free mock offered by GMAC, is it the same for everyone or are they mixing random questions from a database?
Hi everyone, Anybody wrote exam in the window 2?? Any sectional reviews on difficulty level.. I wrote the exam on oct 26th. Would be helpful if anyone giv specific review fr dat particular day. Thanks in advance.
Three equal circles of radius 2 cm intersect each other in such a way that each circle passes through the centres of the other two circles. Find the common area between the three circles.
Approach please!
NMAT 2015 28th October 11:45 am slot full review:
This post is a little long but I hope it will help the test takers.
My center was in NMIMS itself. I
reached at 10:00 am. The college was not what I expected. I mean it
was in a posh area (Ville Parle) but I thought to be huge and it
turned out to be a big building of 9 floors but who cares if it gives
an average placement of 15LPA.
The exam was on 9th floor. I reached there and verified my documents. The documents that you need to carry are:
- Printout of confirmation E-mail
- primary ID
- Secondary ID
- Photo copy of IDs
- Your admit card
After verification I was asked to sit down and I took a good nap of 30 minutes. (There was nothing to do and I did not want to over think and get myself more tense.) After that all were provided with a laminated sheet which had a set of rules for exams. After reading it all were asked to deposit the sheets and form a line for the test room. Documents were again verified and signature and photograph was taken for retention purposes by GMAC (It was quite the same process as the passport verification). A locker was given and only the primary ID and confirmation E-mail was to be taken inside the test center. I was assigned a computer and the invigilators put the user id and password to start the exam. (The invigilators entered it, you have to do nothing) then a screen appeared in which I selected my name and was asked to confirm the non-disclosure agreement by GMAC. You have to click agree to it in 2 MINUTES or YOUR TEST WILL BE TERMINATED. Don't worry just click next, you cannot do anything even if you do not agree with non-disclosure agreement. (Don't you want to give NMAT!)
A 10 minute tutorial will be next in which you will be familiarized with the interface of the exam. There is NO NEGATIVE MARKING. Remember this. So, 120 Questions in 120 Minutes and do mark all even if you did not solved the question. The interface is same as that of Testfunda mocks. If you want to see the interface you can try Testfunda mocks. The first mock is free. I would recommend that you try the mock. After the tutorial(or before, I don't remember clearly), you will be asked to select the order in which you want to give the test. And then, The NMAT commenced!
My order was as follows:
- Language Skills aka VERBAL: (22
minutes)
The language part was the easiest
part. It was full of sitters but try to maintain a good speed if you
want to attempt the 2 RC. I was able to solve 1.5 RC but I think I
could have done more in RC. The verbal section was easy and the main
focus was on PJ and grammar questions especially on prepositions. Do
prepare it well. There were 5 synonym and antonym question also. (I
am sorry guys, it was my weakest part and I do not remember the
words)
- Quant aka MATHS+DI: (1 hr)
The quant was the one which surprised
me, There were sitters in the beginning which gave a boost but as
the paper progressed Quant became harder and harder. The main focus
was on TSD, time and work, numbers. In my section I found Quant a
little tacky but DI was quite easy. So in my session the main focus
should have been on solving DI rather than wasting on tuff questions
of Quants. Out of 5 DI sets, 1 set was sitter and 2.5 solvable (1
was calculative intensive). DO NOT blindly follow the advice of
other test takers that solve quant first, see what is easy for you
and then attempt.
- LR: (40 minutes)
This was an ok section, There were 3
caselets of reasoning including an input-output question. There was
not a single question on syllogism which disappointed me but it was
full of critical reasoning questions. Do practice a lot of critical.
There were atleast 10 Questions of it. There were 2-3 questions on
series, no puzzle, coading etc.
Overall the paper was quite doable if time was managed well. Do practice mocks. The CL mocks were not at par with the actual paper, that's what I felt. Try to solve Testfunda mocks for the feel of interface.
Hope this review helps! Cheers!
Does NMAT official Guide is available in PDF form?
Will a black and white print out of the Admit Card do? Or do we have to get a coloured print out?
Posting this for a friend @nachiket.pagay please comment
I had appeared for first attempt of nmat on 20th October. Prior to that when I had asked pearsonvue about availability of the dates for 2nd attempt I was told that they have altogether different calender and appointments for retakes in December that will be opened again only after first attempt. Now that I am trying to book a slot in December for my retake they show me the same calender. No appointments available in December. Slots available only in the week of cat exam. Moreover I have already paid fee for 2nd attempt.
Are there any chances of getting appointment in December with new appointment calender coming in specially for retake?
