The first step in being a successful leader is to not get distracted.The biggest trait in a leader is to remain trust worthy of his employees though transparency.The successful leaders are ones who has clarity on these three terms namely “what”, “why”, and “how”.
One should manage fear and leverage failure in their quest to become a successful leader. In a nutshell,, a good leader is the one virtue of all these qualities to foresee the future.
What are the steps in a project execution? Day 3 of HR conclave gave us an insight on the steps or processes included in project execution. As a leader, how well should one plan your project and for its shortcoming if required.
The steps comprises of Work Breakdown Structure, Project Schedule,Resource Management Plan, Risk Management Plan,Quality Management Plan to name a few .
Day 3 also explained to us the traits of a being a good leader and how to shape their character likewise.
Letting go of all emotions or egos with your fellow mates and timely resolving of the same amongst your team members, take risk and be accountable for your choices, courage to deal with ambiguity of the choices/decisions that has been made ; being some of them. Good leader should have strong vision about the future and should begin by providing the eventual outcome of leading vision through reality.
The last but not the least is where you are able to gain trust of your employees. The same can be achieved by standing by your people in times of crisis and being unbiased
With more food for thought to us students, the final day concluded with everlasting memories thus giving us exposure to real experiences in the industry and most importantly the guiding way towards becoming a successful leader

Dr. Rajendra Singh will be sharing valuable knowledge and insight during the session on "Transformative and Disruptive Opportunities in Power and Transport Sectors" on January 23, 2019, at 5 PM at NSB. He is D. Houser Banks Professor in the Holcombe Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering and Automotive Engineering at Clemson University. He is fellow of IEEE, SPIE, AAAS, and ASM. With proven success in operations, project/program leadership, R&D, product/process commercialization, and start-ups, Dr. Singh is a leading technologist with almost four decades of industrial and academic experience of photovoltaic and semiconductor industries. Dr. Singh has received many national and international awards. US President Barack Obama has honored him as a White House “Champion of Change for Solar Deployment” for his leadership in advancing solar energy with Photovoltaics technology.

Can i apply for the energy management course this year?
last yr I applied for nsb. Even after getting above 90 in nsb admission test and great interview, i was not selected because of being a fresher. Even the interviewer said that I was good but workex would have been great. I don't think freshers are invited here despite meeting eligibility criteria.
