w1,w2.......w7 are 7 positive integral values such that by attaching the cofficients of +1, 0 and -1 to each value available and adding the resultant values, any number from 1 to 1093 could be formed if w1 w2 are in ascending order thn wht is the value of w3?
a 10 b 9 c 0 d 1?
2)find the remainder when 50^51^52 is divided by 11?
please explain both question with concept...and approach.
what is the highest 3-digit number that divides the number 11111...1(27 times) perfectly without leaving any remainder?please tell the procedure?thanks in advance
@IIM-A2013 said:i don't know about euler concept please explain? from where you get 10 divisor? scroll few starting pages..Brooklyn has shared reminders concepts pdf
@gs4890thank you ...i have to crack cat2013. i will ask doubt.thankyou for link. i am studying arun sharma quant but he has not given any approach for lod 3 question?and please tell me how sould i prepare for cat2013
For ALL CAT ASPIRANT 2013
QUANT :-
1) Arun sharma is a nice book to start
2) Be regular on Quant thread becuase the approaches and ques u ll see here not be available in any book or coaching institue. Like i learn Inverse Eluer, multinomial and many more.
3) Solve the question from ur material as when the topic is completed and also sectional tests
4) Try giving mocks of every institute jaha se mile CL TIME TF IMS and many more
5) Prep is an added advantage
6) improve ur calculation speed. Try and learn Vedic maths Fundas
7) do different DI reasoning as well as calculative. This time it hit hard on us
8) grey areas like functions , trigo do it from IIT books
9) FB pe CAT PREP group he, join that too. its sessions are also nice
isnt it obvious 1111...11 27 times sum =27 and it is divisible by 9,3,37
for 37 form pairs of 3 from the right make pairs of 3 alternate +/- and the difference will come zero, same as 1001. this same rule will apply for all numbers which completely divide 1001,
pairs of 3 coz 1001=10^3+1
same if you have to chk for 999 etc 10^n-1 form pairs of n digits and not just 999n-1 times but same for all numbers that completely divide 999n-1 times
SO THE answer here should be 999. i hope you get the concept thats more important
