This is an IIFT question. I was unable to get solution without a calculator. hoping you guys can helpWhat is the value of 2 - sqrt (6407522209/3600840049)options are A 0.666039B 0.666029C 0.666009D None of thesethe solution just posted the value the answer is ASo do share your approach@ScareCrow28@gudda1122@staaalinnn@sumeet1489@krum ek baar nazar maar lo
I feel its not impossible to answer this..but attempting these type of questions is serious TIME-WASTE

Any ways..the number of digits in 6407522209 and 3600840049 are same...so it turns out to be sqrt(64/36) = 8/6 = 4/3 = 1.33333..

So, 2 - 1.333333 = 0.666666667
So, the answer must be some amount less than 0.6667 I feel..so probably (a)..

All are less :P

@staaalinnn bhai ye to hai but saare options 0.66600xxx hain

khair ye to sahi kaha this question is for checking whether you selct right question

gustakhi maaf @krum bhai...but W can take values ranging from 3 to 39.. then why did u choose W = 21 ???

Another One from IIFT from my side

A tough one :mg:

A medical tests blood for certain diseaase from which approximately one person in a hundred suffers. People come in clinic in group of 50, The operator of the clinic wonders whether he can increase the efficiency of testing procedure by conducting pooled tests , the operator would pool the 50 blood samples and test them altogether. If the pooled tests was negative, he can pronounce each group healthy . If not , he could test them individually. The expected number of blood tests the operator will have to do if pools the blood samples

A 47

B 25

C 21

D None of these

iska bhi logic sir ke upar se gaya hai mere :banghead:

A cylindrical overhead tank is filled by two pumps P1 and P2.P1 can fill the tank in 8 hours while P2 can fill the tank in 12 hours.Their is a pipe P3 which can empty the tank in 8 hours.Both the pumps are opened simultaneously.The Supervisor of the tank before going out on a work,sets a timer to open P3 when the tank is half filled so that tank is exactly filled up by the time he is back.Due to technical fault P3 opens when the tank is one third filled.If the supervisor comes back as per the plan what percent of the tank is still empty ???25,12,10,not
10?
case 1 t1(1/12 +1/8)=1/2 sp t1=12/5 when the 3rd pipe is opened only filled by 2nd pipe 1and 3rd cancel each other time required to fill it completely =12/5+6 hrs in this time guy will come back
case2 t2(1/12+1/8)=1/3 then the 3rd pipe is opened so time consumed upto here t2=8/5 time till the guy comes back =t1-t2=6+4/5 hrs now in this time only 2nd pipe is operational
amt left unfilled =2/3-(6+4/5)/12 =1/10
hence 10% is left unfilled
A petrol tank at a filling station has a capacity of 400 litres. The attendant sells 40 litres of petrol from the tank to one customer and then replenishes it with kerosene oil. This process is repeated with six customers. What quantity of petrol will the seventh customer get when he purchases 40 litres of petrol?

yaar maine reverse se start kia, W will be odd as 84-2W=3k, those hit and trial mein 21 mil gya
main jyada scohta nai, bas question mein jo data hai uske kuch kaam kar dete hun, kuch hua to thik warna next

@Ashmukh

Rate of P1=V/8 unit^3/hr, of P2=V/12 unit^3/hr and that of P3= -V/8 unit^3/hr

Now, Time taken to fill half the tank= (V/2)/(V/8 + V/12) = 2.4 hrs..

Thus, Time taken to fill the remaining half=(V/2)/(V/8 + V/12 -V/8)= 6 hrs..

=> The watchmen will return after 8.4 hours from the start of the P1 & P2

Now, Time taken to fill V/3 tank=(V/3)/(V/8 + V/12)= 1.6 hrs

Amount of tank filled in 6.8 hrs= 6.8*(1/8 + 1/12 - 1/8)V= V/12*6.8= 17/30*V

=>Thus, total Tank filled when the watchmen returns=(17/30 + 1/3)*V=9/10*V

=>Thus, Volume left=(1-9/10)*V = 10%..

bhai iska answer kya hai ? mujhe to qn hi samajh me nahi aaya achhe se.
total number of people to be tested to hai hi nahi
par if what i am thinking is correct to answer none of these diya hai kya?
bhai fir bhi jo bhi logic hai post karo maybe someone else will figure it out

IIFT ke tough questions ke bad to yeh easy wala ek aa gaya...

required petrol = 40*{[(400-40)/400]^6}
= 40*9^6/10^6
