COVID has impacted B-School students like never before. Internship offers and job offers of several students have been revoked by companies. The job market is grim with recession around the corner. I would like to highlight key points in this regard: In the wake of COVID, many companies have resorted to pay cuts, frozen hiring, offered zero hikes and bonuses. There has been NO initiative from any B-School in India to reduce the Fees for MBA/PGDM course to alleviate the worries and loan burden of students in this uncertain job market. Why are these same B-School authorities who leave no excuse unturned to hike the fees taking this basic humanitarian step in-line with "market dynamics"?

SCMHRD stands for Symbiosis center for Management and Human Resources Development. Often mistaken only for being a HR favourable college (true that- SCMHRD is ranked 3rd among hr colleges). Although Marketing and other specializations have highly flourished over time and almost 35% of the batch opt for Marketing. In terms of placement Marketing average tends to be sometimes higher than HR average(check 2019 summer placements). Top companies like ITC, Godrej, Colgate, Loreal, Pidilite, Bajaj, PVM, Tata Motors, Titan, VIP, ABFRL, J&J etc visit the campus.(many of these dont visit new IIMs at all even IIM Ranchi, Trichy or Udaipur). One of the most important aspect of MBA is competitions and SCMHRD is one of the few colleges which is eligible for most of the competitions. You may count in Godrej Loud, Colgate Inner Circle, ITC interobang, HUL Lime, Nestle Indegenium, Loreal Brandstrom, Johnson and Johnson etc. Also being in Pune it provides MBA candidates with Live Project opportunities. Hope this helps in making the right choice.
