@harichids I did contact few current students ... all seemed pretty happy with the course and experience so far .. I even managed to speak to a 2011 passout currently working in Singapore .. he seemed pretty staisfied as well .. what about you .. did you get a chance to speak to any current / former students?Yes.. i guess the commonwealth hostel is offcampus moreover I ll take my family along so will search for an offcampus accommodation for myself ..

I talked to a student when I got an admit last year..
While he was coming back to India to pursue his family business, he gave a pretty good feedback about the institute and said that most of his classmates were placed..!! so far so good I guess
most of his classmates were placed in the job of their choice..
but yeah, he emphasized a lot on networking with visitors and students alike.. said that networking proves to be critical in one's placement in a desired industry/function..
I have heard similar reviews about SMU .. they say it is at par with the other local universities.The guy i spoke to managed to convert his internship to a permanent job offer.. so I guess that is another way to secure a job in addition to netwroking..

questions were generally around what I had done, my career aspirations and how SMU 'LOGICALLY' fits in..
now to my experience: 1. Tell us something about yourself.. Talked a lil about my background and achievements.. to my advantage, the next 10 min were spent on my achievements.. 2. Why MBA, why now and whu SMU??.. 3. do you plan to work in S'pore or go back to India after MBA?? 4. What kind of companies/roles are you looking for post MBA?? (do some research on their recruiters).. 5. Tell me something about your leadership experience (I lead a team of 4 for 2 projects).. 6. What do you bring to the class that others don't.. 7. Any questions for us?? Had prepared 2 questions for them..
Overall 20-25 min.. very accommodating and patient gentlemen in the panel..

@SMU_Singapore Hi, Due to strict and urgent commitments, I have been able to make my application complete today. I have uploaded my pic, made the application payment and confirmed with the referees about the referral report submitted to SMU.
I have two queries, (may be weird ):
1. To be considered for 1st deadline, Can you confirm if my application needs to be completed by 23:59 SGT or its the official end time on 1st Mar2013
2. Is there anything required from my end at this point, for further processing of my application... I mean, currently, do I have any action item pending or should I just wait for response from SMU.
1. We don창€™t disallow applications just because they are submitted, say 5mins after the application deadline. We will still consider applications for each round within the 1st week after the application deadline as we understand that sometimes, due to unforeseen circumstances, an applicant is not able to fulfill certain aspects of the application in time.
2.If you have completed and submitted your application (i.e. Submitted the online application and emailed/mailed all necessary supporting documents), just wait for our admissions staff to get back to you. If there are missing documents, they will inform you. If all things are completed, they will assess the application within 3 working days (longer if your application is submitted around the deadline as we usually have an influx of applications during this time) and let you know whether you have been shortlisted for a phone interview (will contact you via email and phone).

Hi, thanks for your reply! I did mean the SMU MBA infosession. I am currently located in Noida so I ll be happy to attend a session in Delhi NCR. I won't be able to attend the MITB session in Mumbai or Bangalore but will wait for the MBA sessions in May.

@saurabh231 Not yet. Career Services releases the official statistics after 3 months and 6 months of graduation. The official 3 months will be over sometime in April for the MBA class of 2012.
Guys, Anyway to know the application status? I had submitted the application on Feb 28th. Then there were some pending documents needed which i sent across on email. But now I dunno if my application is complete. Anyways to check the completeness of the application??? @SMU_Singapore - any ideas?
