Between SIIB and SIOM which is better???
Rohit Kumar, MBA (2015-2017) " After getting nurtured in the cocoon of industrial giant L&T for around 2.5 years, I decided to pursue my MBA – Operations Management from one of the premier B schools of the country, Symbiosis Institute of Operations Management popularly known as SIOM. The industry led curriculum coupled with the best-in-class faculty, makes it the most sought after options for all the budding Operation Managers of the country. Be it the presentations, the guest lectures, the converges, the cultural activities, the social initiatives nevertheless SIOM prepares you not just as an MBA graduate but an overall individual. Opportunities like getting certified in APICS – CPSM, CPIM, Six Sigma Green Belt from KPMG, getting a flavour of SAP modules every semester, Capstone Simulations wouldn'’t have knocked my door without SIOM. As a future operation manager would rightly put it “My JIT (Just-in- time) decision to join SIOM would definitely “OPTIMIZE” my goals thereby helping me in carving a “LEAN” career ahead."

Hello guys
Its Rohit Kumar(Rohit Verma) of SIOM 15-17 Batch. I am here to clear few things going out in this page since past few days.
Someone else is using my name( with fake email id) and writing against institute. I have been here for 2 years and have nothing against SIOM. Some mentally retarted person is taking out his/her frustration here and enjoying the reaction of you people. You can see my testimonial where i have written about SIOM on its official website.
Now, since the results are declared and waitlists are also moving, so it should be purely your decision about taking admission in college and should not come under influence by some negative post or retarted person.
All the Best guys :)
Hey guys, I had two major doubts and I was hoping to find some answers here.
1. My WL has been updated to 25, do I stand a chance in the next list?
2. I'm still pursuing engineering, final semester. I'm a fresher and I have offer letters from two IT companies. My doubt here is, does work experience have a lot of weightage? Would it be better for me to gain work experience first?
PS: I know the opinion varies from person to person and I know that I am supposed to choose what's best for me. But, it'll be really helpful if you guys shared your views. Thank you.
Converted , have NMIMS indore and Navi mumbai as backups , Reading all the comments , i have a doubt on SIOM . I am not sure how many have this doubt , but whoever is really believing in something truthful , IS SIOM like the place with people having no other choice ? that possibly tells more than anything and is SIOM that bad as it seems on this page
For the 25 (open) who converted in the 2nd Merit list, please be candid:

i would suggest you to get in touch with passout students through LinkedIn. Better get your queries resolved by some other people than add comm guys. These guys wont tell you the truth. Do your homework guys. Just have a thought to why many students are telling you not to join Siom. Rear it's your choice. It's your money, and it's your life. No one will walk in your shoes. PS:- Your future won't matter to me. It's just an advice. Your choice

What are the chances of converting for 321 wL
what are the chances of converting for WL-21 ?
A small survey to know the current scenario of admissions in SIOM.... https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSc5tF1X2-toMgWhVTSal2fqJc4Zp5W6vDOqcol963BhNXZ1Xw/viewform
To all SIOM aspirants, I am an aspirant too, and @zeuskhan @anonymous and all fake profiles propel me to do independent research about the college and After a thorough research done by myself about the college (collecting data from alumni's to those who just graduated from siom 2015-17 batch, to asking some contacts in diff. Companies who come to SIOM), Here is the result of my findings. But first let me tell u i have 9 month workex at Honda Gurgaon. N i was very much excited to join SIOM coz i am interested in operations. And my mind was all like SIOM is among the best college for operations. Now lets come to the point. But let me confirm u i am not one of those frustated guy and just wanted to know real truth. If adcom members have any doubt about my findings they can msg right here.

1.First of all i am i would like to thank the frustated person who tried his best to bring some unknown facts about the college. 2. Not everything that mr anonymous or zeushan said here is wrong almost 90% what he said is true.. like -SIOM is really a Tier 3 college and m not saying by ranking but from companies prospective, most companies put SIOM in Tier 3 and this is last tier there is no Tier 4 for most of them. 3.so profile offered at SIOM are not that gud compared to NITIE or even IMT G or IMI delhi (those who doubt me can check their data its open NiFr ranking 2017)they are kinda support profile most of them. 4.But if u r with workex of more than 24 than don't worry but don't expect much also. Rest need to work hard in first job. 5.SIOM market itself as top college for operations but the truth is there aren't many college with operations specialisation so for ex. Someone opens a college in specialized field.. than it will obviously say that its the best in that field coz no other college gives specialisation. Same is with SIOM there aren't many colleges im this country for operations specialisation and SIOM is one of the few... So it obviously is one of the best (sarcastically).

6. Now after 10+ years of establishment and alumni base of more than 1200 and symbi tag its real sad that its not able to provide placement to all students.. adcom members say demonization and bla bla.... But Hey isn't SIOM top college for operations than y aren't u able to place this small batch .... Placement committee really sucks in SIOM. 7. Not only this placement aren't that good in SIOM what it looks . Data is authentic but on other side... One forget average work ex of batch is 2+ so companies give higher package to exp. Places therefore average is 10+ But if u r Fresher or 1+ work ex person don't expect above 10+ coz companies dont give this much to SIOM students except few companies. Base package for SIOM guys is 6-8 and add 1 lac for ur workex year so with 2+ years workex it automatically goes above 10. My suggestion is if u r below 2 year work ex dont look for overall package but for Freshers package. Which is 8.xx and dont think 49 something get 10+ package in SIOM so u can be among those 49 or 50 if u Fresher or 1+ workex. They all leaving 2 or 3 at max are 2+ work ex. People. Chances of u getting 10+ is very low even 9+ are dim. Thats hard fact. 3. Regarding SIP's yes i can confirm that many students get 0 stipend in SIP's and this include work ex people. But ú will get SIP no doubt. 4. I don't care about anything else than placement so didn't researched about faculties, infra and all. 5.One of the biggest disadvantage of SIOM is its location. If that same college wkuld have built near pune or Mumbai .. kuch aur hi scene hota.
