Apologies for the delay in responding - we do not require reco letters for the MAy 08 intake
thanks
Hello Rutty,
I am a prospective student of SP Jain Dubai/Singapore. I would be applying for the May 2008 intake and have a small doubt regarding the admission process, which I request you to clarify.
I understand that recommendation letters were required till last year (even for the Jan 2008 intake, if I am not wrong) as a part of the application. However, I do not see any mention of the same (on your official website) pertaining to the May 2008 intake. Request you to clarify whether the letters are required or their requirement has been scrapped for the May intake.
Request you to revert at the earliest.
~ Sunil.
Hi,
1. yes we need your online ref no of your application to SPJIMR
2. The work ex should be counted upto the date of application and NOT 31st March 08
thanks
Hi
I am going to apply for the June intake .Following required details in the application form have raised a doubt in my mind. Can you please clarify:
1. Have you applied to SPJIMR, Mumbai? (currently or in past )
If so, give Application No.
I applied online to SPJIMR, Mumbai and received a reference no. through e-mail. Are they asking for the same?
2. Total number of years of experience
The last date of submission is 31st March. So till what point of time, we should count our total work experience. This is a doubt because there is a column asking for months also.
No we do NOT need reco leters for the May 08 intkae

you may submit your application without a score - however we cannot shortlist candidates without a score.
as this is now a MAy intake and the deadline for applications is 31st MArch - I suggest that you also take the SPJAT as you wuld be taking the GMAT only in March.

1) Retail Mgmt
2) Hrm
and so on
how do i got about doing that?
pls read our FAQs carefully - you are allowed to apply for ONLY one spez and if you make multiple applns with diff soez - your appln may be disqualified

Dear Rutty,
I am an aspirant for your MBA program starting May, 08. I have filled in the Online App, however I am unable to submit the same as I keep on getting a javascript error on the last page and even after clicking multiple times on the button, the form is not submitted.
I am attaching the error snapshot for your reference.
Please advice.

your profile seems fine to apply for IB.
However I cannot comment on the chances as that would be the decision of the Admissions Commitee
thanks
Hello Rutty
I am working in an IT company in India and have a work ex of 2 n a half yrs.Academic background is also good. I have given my GMAT(690) and am planning to apply for S.P Jain,Dubai/Singapore. I will be applying for specialization in IB. Reasons being my interest in this field. I have also done 4 certifications of NCFM(NSE India). What are the chances of a person with such a profile to get IB? Can you provide me with some insight in this?
Thanks
Saurabh
yes you can - for the May 08 intake we will be accepting SPJAT scores of only 2007.
thanks
Hi Rutty,
Can one apply for the May 08 Batch, with score of SPJAT taken on 4th Nov 2007??
no not at this point in time.
Hi Rutty,
I have mentioned my GMAT score in the application form. Do I need to send a copy of official score report ??
we will shortly be updating the full placemnt figures on the website.
Hi Rutty
The placement stats posted on the official website for the current batch shows 95% placement. moreover, these stats were last updated on December 5, 2007
Can you comment on the final placements as the stats are more than 20 days old? Also, which all companies visited specialization-wise, particularly for SMM?
we normally expect students to have about 2-3 yrs work ex.
However we do consider freshers who are outstanding.
pls check our website S.P.Jain Center of Management, Dubai . Singapore for all admisson related info
thanks

Hi Rutty,
I've applied to the May'08 intake of GMBA. At the time of filling the online form, applicant's age as on 31st May 08 was required to be filled. But now after submitting the form, the age entered by me is showed corresponding to the age on June 1, 2006. A bug?
Yes you have read right - we are NOT accepting XAT scores from the May 08 intake.
we now only accept CAT/GMAT/SPJAT scores
thanks

You may apply now without a score but we will not shortlist a candidate without a score - once you submit your score we will review your application and then you will know the exact status of your application.
thanks
Hi Seniors,
I am planning to apply for the June 2008 intake. I see that the last date for
the application process is 31st march. I am expecting a good percentile
(98.5 +) in CAT 2007 and am planning to apply on the basis of that. I don't have GMAT and last yr's CAT scores to show.
Is it fine to wait for the results and apply on the basis of that or should I go ahead and apply right away with the cat registration number ?
Even though my profile is not very bad, I have not been called for the GI/PI phase of SP Jain, Mumbai's PGDM 2yr course. I am afraid, that if I apply for GMBA, with just the cat registration number and not the actual cat score, then my profile might be rejected even for the GMBA course !. While if I manage to get a good enough percentile then my chances of bagging a call might be atleast slightly enhanced (my own opinion though!!).
I have heard that the earlier you apply, the better it is as the decision for calling/not calling an applicant for the GD/PI's is an ongoing process and if I apply right now, that decision might be taken even before the CAT 2007 results are out!! Also I have heard that the actual date after which no applications would be considered may even be before 31st of march, 2008.
Can you please suggest what to do in this regard ?
Thanks a lot in advance.
