Dear Ms. Barucha,

As the 30th April deadline nears I am understandably worried about meeting it. I only recently got time off from a hectic work schedule to prep for my GMAT which I intend to write in the first week of April. Only then can I submit a completed application.

I have two concerns:

1. Is that too close to the deadline? Would you advise me to do the GMAT sooner, or am I clearly within time if I submit my application on say the 7th of April? (I intend to apply for specialization in Investment Banking)

2. Is there definately to be an aptitude test for your June '07 intake sometime in the next month? Or is it a possibility that you wont conduct any more tests? Your website hasn't been updated with this information yet.

Kaveri

Hello Rutty

My application no is 13735-RM and have accepted evaluation date as 11th March.
By mistake I wrote degree percentages in wrong chronological order i.e. Marks of first year in 4th and vice versa.
I have filled the hard copy with correct details which I will sublmit by hand on 11th March.
Kindly suggest what action needs to be taken to correct the error.

Thanks
Bhuwan

Hi,
If you are taking the GMAT on the 7th of April it should not be too late as we close for admissions on the 30th of April.
Yes, we surely would be conducting another aptitude test but the date for the same has not yet been fixed.
thanks

Dear Rohit,
You need not take the aptitude test as your XAT score is fine.
As for your chances i cannot comment as that is a decision only the Admissions Committee takes.
However pls note that we look at candidates ideally with first class in their academics, you may be falling short on that criteria.
thanks

Hey Rutty,

Firstly thanks for providing such detailed feedback and suggestion to all of our queries.

My query:
I have been put on the wait list for about 1 and 1/2 months now.
The reason could be probably my acads (SSC:73 , HSC 75 ,
Engg 61.17 )

Also my CAT score are not soo great (82 percentile). I am sure i could have done much better.
I wanted to know that whether appearing for SP Jain aptitude test and scoring a better number will help to make my case stronger for moving from the wait list to get an interview call.

About me, i have 2 years of work ex till date with a top Indian IT company working for an Asia pacific retail banking client and have applied for banking operations specialisation.
I am looking for the June 07 intake.

Dear Rutty

I have good academics 90(10th) 87%(12th) from DPS RKP
65% aggragate in Engineering from Delhi college of Engineering
i have 93.77 percentile in CAT 2007
Work experience of 1.5 years from leading IT company of India.
Also very good extra curriculars

Please advise me if i should apply for the course

Hi,
I'm Binoy from Mumbai. I have applied to the june07 program and my status says "find you falling short on some of our admission criteria due to which we have kept you on our waiting list."
Does this mean that my form is incomplete or what does this mean.

Dear Rutty,
I have submitted my application for the june 07 intake today. I had provided all the details that were requested including my SP JAIN APtitude test score of 92.45% which I had got having written the test on 25-02-07. But after I had confirmed the application for submission I have seen that the places where the SP JAIN Test details were asked became blank. I have sent a mail to [email protected] citing the error. I had doubly checked the application before submitting. I guess it is a technical snag. Please do check into it as soon as possible. The application number is 14304-IT and my SP JAin aptitude test ID is 755811! Thankyou and I will be waiting for ur response!:

Dear Anurag,
Your CAT score is fine as it meets our cut off of 80. You may take the test if you wish to improve on your scores.
However you may be falling short on some other criteria like your academics, work experience etc hence you are waitlisted.
thanks

Hoi,
You may go ahead and apply, i cannot comment on whether you would be shortlisted or not as that is a decision of the admissions committee, but I can state that we do look at the overall profile of students and we may be a little flexible on certain criteria if a student is outstanding in other areas.
thanks

Dear Binoy,
It could be that your form is incomplete or it could mean that you are not meeting our entry criteria hence you are waitlisted. However if your form was incomplete you would have received an email from us asking you to provide us with the missing details.

Thanks
