Hi, Our admissions are on a rolling basis which means as and when an application is received it is screened snd students who are found suitable are shortlisted for the closest evaluation round. We did have a round on 1/2 Sept - we havent fixed the date for the next round as yet Your XAT score meeets our requirements and you need not take the APtitude test. I m in the process of getting the application done for the GMBA Prog for Jan08. But as i see there are quite few ppl on the thread who have already submitted applications & are expecting indication for clearance for the next stage. 1.Is it that there is some cut off date that u would be looking at saying that the applications received bfor that would be scrutinized & would be cleared for next round? 2.i see a lot of ppl talking abt dates for interview / GD in sept. Any idea as to when ppl writting SPJ test would be having these? 3.Also i have xat07 score. would b applying base on that plus m thinking of appearing for Test happening on 30th Sept. I would obviously getting the score bfor the 15th Nov deadline. Do you suggest me waiting for the results or going ahead with the application on xat score.
Profile is as follows' XAT07 : 94%tile, BE(Mech): 67% (Mumbai Uni), 12th:84.5, 10th: 80 Work Ex : 3.5 yrs in an indian MNC (IT). would be applying for IT management.

I am Ganesen V.,working as a software engineer with Philips Innovation Campus for the past three months. I have a B.E degree in Computer Science from PSG Tech,Coimbatore with a CGPA of 8.56 I also have a XII score of 96% and X score of 87% I also was within the top 400 ranks in Tamil nadu engineering cut offs. I have a couple of international papers and publications,one in a IEEE conference at SIngapore. I took Cat 06 with 91%. I plan to apply for SP jain's global MBA in Investment Banking for june 08 admissions. Is this profile worth applying though i will be having only 11 months in the industry?

Thanks for the reply. Well as far as recos are concerned i ve go to know a couple of confusing views so if u can clear those it wud be highly appreciated. 1. There are two recos that are required. Do both of them have to be from my managers or i can have 1 from my manager & 1 from prof at engineering collage. 2. If the recos are submitted on a seperate sheet is there a format which i must stick to or it will be genral reco format. what i heard was 'Format will be provided by the liasion office, i just need to Contact them On phone n they will guide me regarding the same'
My name is Sameer, working in IT industry for last 2.5 years. Employers include GE and SAP.
I have applied to SPJ's IB program because of my interest in Finance, and have the following doubts:
1. Will my IT experience be considered during placements? What are the chances of that happening?
2. I was surprized not to find the IB bigshots in the list of companies visiting for placements. I am referring to Goldman Sachs, Merril Lynch, UBS, Lehman Brothers etc.
I am not worried about the quality of the program offered, but concerned about its global acceptance. Kindly comment.
Hi, the entire process takes about 2-3 months. IF you are planning to take CAT 07 then you would not be able to use the scores for the Jan 08 intake as your results would only be out in January 08 and our intake would commence by then. We do have tie ups with banks to provide loan assistance to studnets. the full details regarding loans is available on our website S.P.Jain Center of Management, Dubai . I have recently been called for the evaluation process and aptitude test on 15th of September in Dubai.
Is there anything in particular that I should be prepared for. I dont have any work experience so will that hamper the evaluation process and also will the evaluation process consist of essay, gd & pi only or will there be anythin else too?
Can ay0one aho has attended SP Jain's evaluation process please help me on what tyoe of questions to expect in the PI? What kinda topics are generally handed out for the Group Discussion? And most importantly what are the essays/ case studies based on and how important are they to the entire evaluation process?
Am sorry bro but i had gone thru d site bfore posting my query!! The site only talks about the Jan'08 intake and 15th nov being the last date 2 apply for the same, there is threfore no info on the June'08 intake.

Will my results for the test be out in time for me to fill in the application before this (jan is it?) deadline. Also the site provides 2 links- one for registering for the aptitude test and one for the application form to '08 admissions. I cant fill in the application form until i take the test? Cuz nowhere in the application have they asked for any score if im not mistaken. Please clarify this for me, since I donot want to miss the jan '08 applications if i can apply in time with my aptitude test scores.

the results for the test normally comes out within a week. deadline to fill the form is 15th november for jan 2008 intake. u can fill the form now itself even if u do not have any scores. if u r filling the form online u just have to click where its written that i would be taking the sp jain aptitude test. u cant apply with 2007 cat score because the last date for applying is 15th november. u can apply with previous years cat scores. in case u dont have them, u can either give a gmat score or u can take the sp jain aptitude test on 30th september. u can apply for admission now itself.

n one more thng wt is min CAT score for eligibility....is it 75 or 85....

i have some more queries 1) wht is Pattern of Aptitude test and is it of the same level as CAT 2) Also plz coment how genuine the Stats regarding placements (given on website) are?
