Could you elaborate more on to the difficulty level of SP Jain test......and what are the total marks for all sections....which section contains more marks or question....I mean weightage....

Well the spjat test is like most other apti tests...
Its 1 hr test with 6 sections in it.....All sections are apportioned according to the no. of questions in it. SO u have to attend each of the section independently without thinking of the overall time alloted....U just need to be quick enough in all the sections...
The sections are verbal, RC, quant, DI, GK, Reasoning.....The level of difficulty is quite managable...Not too hard not too easy...
The marks are independent of the sections, so no comments on that...

I have been placed in Active Waitlist category for SMM.
and I have few questions
How frequently is the wait list updated?
I see my candidature in the wait list category is there any waitlist number for the same? or all the candidates irrespective of when they appear have the same weightage?
Is there any earliest or last date upto which I could get the call?
What could be the least time upto which I could be asked to join your institute if selected?
What was status of last years wait list(I know that all candidates in the waitlist got selected for SPJ mumbai)(in the sense was there any wait list conversion).
My point is that I have to serve a 3 month notice period to my present employer so if you could throw some light on these topics it would help me plan better.

Hey dude, the difficulty level is quite moderate.............I mean its a computer based test with 6 sections and 1 hour
More precisely, lay stress on reasoning....
Others are quite managable.....GK is really managable........
The time is apportioned automatically between the sections.....So u need not to worry of alloting time by urself........Just be quick....

Yes we do take in some students underthe "family business/Entrepreneur" category. However the entry criteria for this category is the same as that for the "placements" category.
Your profile seems alright to go ahead and apply, but you will also needto submit an entrance test score i.e either CAT/XAT/GMAT or SP Jain Aptitude test.

Yes, You can apply withthe same XAT score for the June 08 intake and it will not have a negative effect on your application

I have submitted my on-line application form today irrespective of all the small problems that I was having while saving the data I and logging onto the application page. But I have another question here. While filling the form a particular section where academic related information had to be filled was not visible on the screen..I dont know if other people also faced the same problem...the section was "Other Program/Certification details"..I could see this section only after submitting my application as the uneditable page was more clearly layed out. I have mentioned this information in some other part of the form and hope it is taken note of..but can i do anything about the same??...Hoping for the best though..!!!!

I scored 64% in my final exam....but with aggregate it comes down to 56%.......though I have done extremly well in extra curricular activities with distinguished achievements and have a good exp. of 4.5 years in research and analytics (Investment Banking and consultancy)....
Do I stand any chance for SP Jain Dubai or Singapore......

the waitlist is reviewed from time to time as and when need be by the Admissions Commitee. There is no fixed time frame as to when this list is reviewed.
We do not have any waitlist numbers and all candidates are atthe same same level when waitlisted.
The utmost that you wuld have to wait would be till the closeo f our admissions i.e 30th of Nov 07.
You would be given sufficient time to join -not less than a month or so to join if selected.
We do not have the waitlist conversion ratio as it is based on the decision of the admissions Commitee.

hello rutty, This is supriya. I wanted to apply to SP jain singapore/Dubai. i had a few questions regarding the same.. 1) whats the difference between the jan 2008 and jun 2008 cycles? Are there any specific reasons for having two different cycles of intake? I am asking this question because i wanted to know if there are any advantages in applying to one cycle over another. I am not sure in which cycle i need to apply..2) when will the application process for june 2008 open?3) I had taken up xat last year and i have a 89 percentile. On the xat score report i see that it is valid till december 31 2007. Is it possible for me to apply with this score for the june 2008 cycle of sp jain?thanks in advancesupriya
