Do not use present perfect tense when time is specified (eg last year , 1994)
I have seen this film last year (incorrect)
I saw this film last year (correct)

i thought this rule in mind and answered..correct me if i am confusing it

and what about past perfect

is it only used for denoting actions in the past which happened first ?

e) B only
@joyjitpal sentence d wrong for sure.. since it should have been "stimulus" and not "stimuli"(plural)
sentence e mostly wrong - policies have no effect if I am not mistaken...

And if I eliminate e and d from my correct answer choice- I am left with answer option (e) i.e b only.. which is without d or e ...

So. answer - option (e)

hahaha
no.. actually vanquished(verb) matlab to defeat hi dikha raha hai ... but this if you observe victor(noun) so vanquished has to be a noun.. hence he will be become subject and he will be vanquised by someone...

if the sentence was
he vanquished all his enemies
it means he has defeated his enemies.

why

what is the difference between 'if ' and 'whether'
