OA for the Para-Completion Set

Ans - (a)

The theme of the paragraph revolves around 'bad writing'. The author aims to define 'bad writing'. Nothing in the text suggests that the author aims to compare
good writing with bad writing. Options (b) and (d) talk about 'good writing' which is a shift from the theme and hence can be eliminated. Option (a) explains the 'self-serving' goals mentions in the last sentence of the paragraph and hence seems the best fit. Option
(c) brings about a contrast in the idea as presented in the passage and hence can be eliminated.
