I switched it on and was immediately a bit distraught about the slow startup time and noticeable lag when flipping channels.
Going by the first blank, option (3) and (4) are close. In the second blank the context requires a word which goes along with the sense of 'minds' which are accustomed to the former or the old school of thought and hence the word 'tradition' aptly fits in here
