the interim placement report claims the average of the top 50% to be 15.31 LPA and the final placement report claims the average of the entire batch to be 15.61 LPA....this indicates the only possibility that the firms offering higher packages visited the campus towards the end of the placement season or at least after the interim report was prepared....i am curious whether this was really the case and if it was so, then would it not be risky for students aspiring for the best offers to forgo placement opportunities in the earlier phase of the placement season in the hope of better paying offers towards the end of the season....however, there might be some mistake in my understanding of the reports as well and i may be completely wrong in my analysis, hence i would kindly request any adcom to clarify on this point....thanks in advance!!
