Has anyone received email confirmation from the Marketing area at IIMB? The website says "not shortlisted". When I spoke to the admissions office this evening, they said that the shortlist isn't out yet. It will be released next week. Seniors, can you please give us some clarity on the status of the Marketing area?

listed in OB &HR; in IIM k, can any senior from IIM k or any other IIM guide us whether OB&HR; applicants have to take RAT ro direct interview? what is the trend? and if any detail guidance for the interview(like what r the things to prepare)
Ok, now this is weird to ask this. But I got call from Finance Prof. yesterday and today received email for interview for Finance area from IIMB. Why I don't see anyone else talking something like this ? Is it some prank or something ? 😲
Spoke to Admissions office in IIMB to clarify what is going on. Here are the updates.
(1) The results for 6 areas (QM, POM, Fin, ESS, IS, OBHR) are out. Only the selected people have got the selection emails. The others who havent made it this year will get their formal emails at the end of the whole process.
(2) Marketing, Public Policy and CSP lists are expected to come out - latest by Monday. Until then applicants to those areas, please be patient, and there is nothing to worry !
Can any one share interview experience for ISB FPM
Lots seem to going on over here over past 3 days. Sorry to all for not being able to reply to queries.

Others: Don't fret, something better would be in store for you.
Coming to my point: It seems people have received IIMC call letters. I have tried to be as specific as I could in the welcome letter from my side. Please go through it. It also has my contact details as well as contact info of few other students. Please feel free to ask any/all queries to these people.
Some general pointers
1. Try to be here by 25th evening. The session by seniors is generally very helpful
2. Please bring a copy of your tickets for reimbursement processing. You would get the reimbursements in cash on first day of interview itself.
3. Those who have been shortlisted in two groups, you would definitely be asked about your preference and related questions. Be ready
4. All streams' interview may include a small amount of quant, more so for OM/ORSA/MIS
5. Be clear on why FPM. Why IIMC and Why the particular stream
6. If possible go through web pages of faculty members of the area you are interested in to get a feel of kind of work being done in IIMC
7. Don't worry about RAT. No one exactly knows what to expect. Not even us. No specialized prep would be needed is what we can tell you.
8. Be prepared to face large panels in interviews. The second day of interview would have about 11-15 professors in panel.
