I've a pre MBA work ex,of 2.5 yrs. & currently working in Torrent power. My roles and responsibilities have varied from engg. to public dealing and corporate services. I wud be thankful if anyone guide me,as to the approx cutoffs and xms one needs to appear to get into IIMs. I've not got any research paper under my belt but I've flair for writing factual articles which have been published at several forums, and I've a 2 months extensive involvement in a research project of IGIDR,Mumbai. Any suggestion would help a lot.
What is the criteria for admission into Quant & Finance area at IIM - B ? Are they exempted from RAT ? I found my area of research under finance & control area in one of Professors who is in the same field . Puys who are in IIM - B , can answer me this question .
Hello everyone. I completed my engineering from NIT Jamshedpur this year. Have started working in supply chain with Godrej Consumer Products. 10th 89%, 12th 75%, engineering gpa 8.1. I want a career in academics as I want to work as a teacher in Indian Bschools. what is the best option for me , should I consider doing an MBA here and Phd abroad. or shall I aim for FPM from IIMs ? Isnt FPM a simpler way than the former ? Is my profile good enough for A, B and C and ISB. Should I even consider giving RAT for IIM-B as I hardly have any work ex ? Seniors Please suggest the alternatives I have !
Is there anyone here who might have joined IIM FPM after doing PGP from an IIM itself?

I think one of the ways to get into a good PhD program is to do some research work as a Research Assistant to a reputed professor. There are 2 doubts in my mind regarding this-
Kindly let me know some good B-Schools in and around Delhi for pursuing FPM. I am from Delhi and would like to do FPM in International Business, Information Management or Strategic Management. Hello. Interested in getting into an FPM program from good B school I have completed B.E. with 58% ,12th -81%,10th-78% and work exp. of almost 2 years as Project Engineer(electricals) and 9 months exp. of marketing.I am aware that presently I don't stand a chance as my graduation % is less than 60%. I am unable to leave my job at present and can pursue masters degree through correspondence only .Do I stand a chance to apply in the future if the masters degree is not done on regular basis ? What other options can I go for ? Any guidance is highly appreciated.

The activity seems to be slow in this forum as people are not posting much. Once their individual queries are answered people are not active on this forum. The forum should be interactive rather that just an Q & A session.

Exactly true . It seems that there is no healthy discussion round the corner . I also request those who are currently pursuing FPM at various IIM's or various other institute . Never heard of any thread based on campus life , professors , what can you do apart from studies ? How about conferences ? Who is going where & what is the topic discussed . Ofcourse all these questions pertains to IIM A , B & C . But what about news from other IIM's like newer ones ? So for example take IIM shillong & IIM Kashipur ? How it feels doing Phd in english weather condition ( always fog & rain ) . & then we have IIM ranchi ( far from the madding crowd) . These are the places to look forward to.
So I think it has to be collective effort from both prospective student & those are now pursuing FPM .
NewsTime -- IIM A & B have announced their FPM closing dates for 2014 😐 , opening dates will be announced shortly
See you buddies in thread.
Hi all...this is my 1st attempt to CAT..nd my 1st post here..
I just started self preparation for it this month..and never prepared for CAT before..
My profile is:
1) 10th - 89%
2) 12th - 85.6%
3) UG (Mechanical engineer) - 88.2%
4) Work exp. (as of 31st Aug. 2013) - 14 months
I have 2 queries-
1) What percentile should I aim at for getting FPM (Phd) program of IIM-A/B/C???
2) Secondly, for this percentile, how many correct questions should I aim to attempt.
