HI ,I have 2 yr of exp in IT and then it, i preped for CAT 13 and have converted a tier 2 college only as of yet , and i am interested in research/PhD . what is the scene of research abroad do i have to write gmat etc, as in India there is a FPM coarse ( of 5 year )by IIMs. Should i go for the pgdm course frm the college i hve converetd or go back to IT as i have heard pgdm( diploma) is not considered at par wid MBA degree abroad ? Any help wud be much appreciated !!

I am Btech-ECE(2012 pass out) with 1 yr 8 months experience in technical sales. I want to become a faculty in bschools.Should I opt for directly fellowship program? if yes then what are the top bschools provide phd directly to a btech & what percentile required in CAT for fellowship?

The thing generally happening with most IIMs is... after your FPM you are asked first to teach at a lower level IIM.. so ppl at A, B, C, L go to I and K .. and now a days to new IIMs as well, before they can upgrade. So when you take admission in new IIMs.. there is no below (non IIMs are there) hence future prospects become a bit unclear.

What all is the prerequisite for the same. I understand we have to give CAT...so whats the cutoff for the same. Are all courses residential? And whats the importance of FPM outside academics as in corporate.
Hello everyone, My MBA is getting over this year itself. I got placed from my campus and joined the company in 3rd semester only. but had to leave my job for some unavoidable reasons. Now I am looking forward to study further.
But As I am only a fresher with no paper publications or any experience in this field, can I still opt for Ph.D or FPMs?
Also I have applied for Ph.D in BITS Pilani. Anyone having any idea as what criteria they have.
