I have 15 months of workex, is it a good decision to go for an internship in a management college and quit job for getting fpm next year.

12: 68
B.E. (Mechanical) : 7.73/10 (Tier 1 College)
CAT: 93%ile (could be improved)
Workex 15 months in Stress Analysis.
Lots of Technical Projects, won award for a project.
Analytical brain, Interested in Research, no clearity of which subject to choose.
What are tentative dates by which colleges put out shortlists for FPM? Which college has the first interview generally?
CAT 91.53 percentile , 10th -88, 12th-84, graduated in 2016 . no work experience, graduation. 77% BE mechanical.. Should i apply for FPM in any iim? if yes then plz suggest the ones in which i should apply..
I have an query regarding Application process for FPM from IIM. Here it is -
I have selected the FPM course while filling the CAT 2016 form. Would that suffice to receive a call for FPM ?
OR
Do we have to apply separately for each of the IIM FPM course by visiting their website before the deadline (This would not make sense because - why there was option to chose FPM course in CAT form then)
Guys Plz help me answer these queries:
1. Plz review my credentials and tell me if there is any possibility of getting calls for FPM(HR & OB) from IIMs
10th:85%, 12th 84% grad 61%( B.A Philosophy Hindu college-DU),Masters(Social work-Delhi school of social work Gold medalist) Served in the army(IMA Dehradun) for 6 months as an officer, another 8 months work exp as HR manager in an NGO(Campus placement after post grad), UGC-NET/JRF Rank-01,1 publication in Peer review journal.
2. I have joined IIT-Patna for Phd in HR in spring session for time being incase i do not get selected for IIMs, i will continue with this Phd. Plz tell me should i share this fact if i get a call for FPM interview? If yes then plz suggest me some of the arguments that can be put forth to support my decision of joining IIT for timebeing.
Can I apply for IIM A(FPM)?

How many people get shortlisted by old IIM s for each department? what would be the maximum number of candidates selected generally since there is not fixed seats

This is regarding IIMB FPM 2017. I have applied for marketing that does not call for an IIMB Test. In case they find my standardize test score low, will they ask me to appear in the IIMB Test or evaluate only on the basis of my standardize test score?
When will the IIMC shortlist come out? .. Would it be mailed or would it be put up on the website?
