Guys, I need a suggestion. I am currently in my 2nd year of MBA at IIT Madras. If I do my PhD immediately in IIT Madras, I will be excluded from course work. However, if I apply for IIM's it might take closer to 5 years . While here I might complete in 2.5 years approx . My long term goal is to apply in academics . Any help on this ? Also , an alternative will be to apply abroad . I m keeliy my options open at the moment
Guys, I am an MBA grad from the baby IIMs and I wish to do Phd from IIM, now the challenge is that my UG marks are 59% and my PG marks are 5.45 missing the cut-off my thin margin. Please tell me what to do, shall I try to write CAT and go for IIM or shall I try it in ISB or XLRI?

I'm an MBA graduate with decent work experience (near to three years)..planning to do Fpm, targeting mainly (IIM A, B, C, K, xlri,)..I would like to know what's the situation of new iim's which are offering Fpm in the relevant areas..and for PhD brand name is important or individual profile..Today I checked even icfai is offering phd..so if someone gets a PhD from a non iim college..is it possible to get a job of assistant professor in any of the existing Iim's?.. Please give valuable feedback I'll love to know..
