This post is in response to @iimcalicut100 's post which I found to be in very poor taste. Its not IIM K's loss but your loss. I had been to IIM K last year for interview. I would have joined the institute if I had converted. Pl do not disrespect a reputed institute using such shallow reasons and baseless arguments
1) The institute is not forcing you to stay/avail food there. There are doing you a favour. And they are not there for charity, so why do u expect freebies?
2) Each IIM has its own way of managing things. You are there for attending interviews not comparing and criticizing.
3) Why should the faculty/students or any one meet or greet u? Did u realize they have exams and other work responsibilities? Conducting interviews is one minor part.
4) If you need any information, you have to ask it. No one gives it to u on platter. Did u even try to approach any students, faculty etc?
5) The fpm program also follows the same approach. If u expect faculty, director and students are waiting just to spoon feed you, you are wrong be it any institute. Its purely self driven. And you can only succeed if you have the right attitude. Mud slinging will get u nowhere.
6) As a future research scholar, your post itself is disappointing and sends wrong signals to future aspirants. You are there for research, so only that should determine your decisions, not trivial issues like these.
To anyone reading this: Please make choices on institute on sound judgement.Don't not let trivial issues and illogical opinions sway you from the correct decision. And if you decide not to join an institute due to trivial issues, the loss in entirely yours. The institute can really do without you.

Hi Guys It would be a very silly question but still try to resolve my query.
I have got IIM U- Operations . Hoping to convert IIM Indore too. Also have call from NITIE- PGDIE ( year program .. I will convert it also since gate rank is 41 .)
I have done B Tech ( Production and Industrial Engineering ) 32 months work ex in Bajaj Auto.
While in Job I found that my interest lies in Government Job.
Now I Confused btw NITIE vs IIM -U FPM.
I m preparing for SSC- CGL for government job preparation ( since i m free now ).
I m planing that i should join FPM , if get selected in SSC-CGL . I will left FPM and join CGL job and start preparing for Civil service examination while in job.
Since I m confused try to resolve it and also give me suggestion what are other forums where i should post my problem so that they could give their views ....

Any concrete information on the same, final area wise offers, no of waitlist candidates etc. will be highly appreciated.

HI guys need little assistance... I would like to undertake FPM in IIM B in 2017. I have done B.E in CSE and MBA in Marketing. Currently working with HSBC as a Manager. My concern is that I have only 60% in my 12th and my 61% in my engg. Will those play a major role in selection process for the FPM program
