Yes there is a psychometric test and there is no elimination round. You go thru the whole process.

Hi all,

I appeared for Gd/pi round last to last year..I must confess i wasn't prepared for it... First we were asked to write about ourselves...in 10 mins or so. Then there was a Case Study (group of 10 people)...2 interviews, one HR and other one not so technical but it was business oriented..They asked me about my SOP in that..Another question which i remember was...

What Pune should do to attract big companies to make some investments like the do in Metros?

Hi SIMS Aspirants,

Congrats to all those who have been shortlisted.

Nice to see all the action in the thread:smile:.Well was very much apart of it last year, I know exactly how it feels to be on the other side;-).

Relax fellas! My tip for the GD/PI and Interviews to all you aspirants would be KISS...keep it short & simple.

Try reading any Financial daily(Economic Times etc.) from now on.......Google or wiki stuff and terms you don't seem to understand but do keep reading the newspapers.Try surfing through business related blogs too.

All the reading would not only make you knowledgeable and confident for the GD/PI but also come handy later in the MBA course.

The GD is about talking no doubt but that doesn't mean yapping so kindly read up on burning current issues and try orienting a lateral approach to any case study presented.
DO...and i repeat DO read up on acads..even people with work ex atleast a brushing up of basics is a must before the getting to Pune.

So fellas looking forward to meeting all you guys at Pune...relax believe me its not that tough when you are prepared.

So all the best to all shortlisted candidates.:thumbsup:

And ya it would just get better from now on. Doing a MBA in a b school is easier that getting into a b school:sarcasm:.

lot of heated debates are going on regarding gd/pi .. lemme tell u this interviews wuld b more like discussions .... not like scary interviews atleast that wat my experience says... n as far as GD is concerned u guys hav 2 make sure that it goes of well coz u r da ones who wuld b participating in it... apart frm that as any one wuld tell u .. stick 2 ur basics .....

hey guyz i m sure u all know ur result and u people are happy for the same.... the entire process is gonna be in pune so wud suggest u make ur travel plans accordingly.... dont worry its not a impossible process .... the first phase wud be a case study followed by a group discussion on the same ..... then two phases of interviews with two different panel.... make sure u all have reasons to justify each and every word u speak or what u have written in ur resume and SOP... brush up on ur GK .... etc.... hope this helps

Hi... i have interview on 3rd Feb....
but also have an exam here in delhi on the same date...MIB/MHROD

so watz the procedure to change the slot...
can i hav a date in 2nd or 3rd week ??...
