After going through d syllabus I felt that Dutt n Sundharam is a very good source for Economics part of RBI mains...The book is pretty informative covers many other aspects related to Indian Economy apart from syllabus. One should have basic knowledge related to Economy to make the most of it..
Try to buy the new version covering latest Budget and figures..
Its my personal opinion and go through the pages before buying..

From where should we study: "Corporate governance, factors affecting corporate governance, mechanisms of corporate governance". Ppl who had appeared in the past please save poor souls like us....
Guys it is sad to say that we are not using this thread to its full potential. Let us discuss certain topics over here and let us help eachother through mutual help. Lets prepare properly and yes if we get any study material or any information we can put it over here for others to be benefitted. Each question is of 20 marks so answers should be of 250 words. But in tests like these the length of the answers do not matter, what matters is how precisely the answers are written covering the important aspects. Ohters also contribute and say how long the answers should be. Along with that let start with some topic and lets discuss our doubts. I think that peole have forgotten this thread and no one is visiting it also. This thread has become dull and dim. Lets rejuvenate ourselves and lets start something worthy of praise.. what say puys ?

With regard to writing answers somebody who appeared last yr pls tell some tips for good presentation. anybody has idea abt last year cutoff? should v need to qualify all 3 papers or total marks out of 300 only counted?
Hi friends...we can do a lot by sharing the information..
@ Sri triumph I ve been following Dutt and Sundaram for a while and it is pretty informative especially for the finance part of RBI mains.. But I felt that we need to have some prior knowledge of some basic terminology before going to read that book.. The book is more of a critique kind of a thing rather than for funda stuff but it is really good in analysing every issue..for eg: Poverty, unemployment, failure of plans etc..So I think it will be very useful as the questions normally are of analysing type..It is my personal view and go thru d book before actually buying it..Thanks n All the best.. Please post the URL of orkut community for RBI..
In last year's paper the questoins were divided into two parts. They do it because the questioning span gets larger and I hope that they ll follow the same pattern this year as well....So literally, it become a 10 marker question and So we need to present a precise answer...
Indian Economy: Problems of development and planning by A.N. Aggarwal is also a good book. Though I haven't gone through it , one of my friends suggested me this book, apart from Dutta Sundharam. Another good book is Indian Economy : Performance and Policies by Uma Kapila. More valuable suggestions and advice are requested.
I am new to this forum. I am preparing 4 the bank exams. I wish to know when will next yr admissions open? Also what would the people who r recruited do in RBI? N also their growth prospects..
