All those who have interview in Jan/Feb for grade b, kindly mark your presence here. lets see what all we have prepared so far and what all we need to prepare in the coming days
Insights from a friend whom I recently met in my cousion's wedding. He is sweet guy & shared his experience. He had an unusually short interview which lasted hardly 15 minutes.
Some "questions":
1. Why is the economy is a halt, some reasons.
2. difference between Gov. & ordinary account ( He works @ CAG)
3. What is FRBMA, 2-3 features of it.
4. Some 5 minutes interview on Hobby - jogging, .... I don't know.
5. Why is RBI not lowering repo rate?
6. Keynesian economics theory?
The "WISDOM":
1. You will surely be asked your hobby if you have written something wacky out there. You will also have questions related to any thing that stands out in your biodata. ( Some smart people may have decorated their CV accordingly)
2. Don't expect very technical questions unless you show(in interview/on through your biodata) that you are an expert in an area.
3. Don't give a technical or a deep answer to the General questions asked, you would further invite related questions & would increase the chances of errors in later questions. The central idea is to be humble. this can be done by giving very short, precise answers.
4. Make sure you don't get questions from your biodata wrong. If questions are asked from your subjects try giving some answers as you won't be able to evade them and they will start piling up more than general questions.

With the UPSC finally over, I guess we can discuss doubts and improve ourselves for the interview ahead. Here is one of my doubts: What is the limit to Fiscal Deficit? Is is not possible for the Gov. to incure high FD year after year in the wake of weak private investment climate? How is the 'Fiscal Space' then measured?
Received NOC from the employer through fax and a copy already submitted. But the problem is, I have not yet received the NOC in original. Do I need to have the NOC in original or a copy of it will work?

I guess, Government has to learn the lesson to put "performance standards" for Banks to improve profitability in a similar way. No point getting bailouts from the Gov. time & again. Afterall, its tax payers money which is on stake when it comes to bailouts. Just as it is cricket lover's pressure which the BCCI was aware of.

I have been selected in RBI Assistant and SBI PO. I am in dilemma. What should i join?? Somebody who has the perspective, please guide me.
There is a huge difference in basic pay in both (For SBI nearly double). But, what are the career prospects in terms of promotions??? Are they brighter in RBI or SBI?? Please help.Where should i go?
