I was wondering if CSS Assistants get salary during 4 weeks mandatory training. My gut feeling is yes. I'm not sure though.
I got Expenditure Department under Ministry of Finance. Is it possible that I get posting in places other than Delhi? The reason I ask this is that I met a girl during interview last December in Allahabad who was posted in Madhya Pradesh.

1) What are the usual cutoffs - sectional and overall ?
I read in Mrunal's article that overall was around 104, while sectionals were all really low. Are they expected to remain in the nearby zone this time as well?
2) Links to some previous year papers?
I have the 2011 prelim paper. Can anyone provide the 2012 one?
3) How many candidates usually appear for this exam? How many are then selected for mains? Basically if anyone could give an idea about the success ratio.

I hv received 24th as my day of exam. Is there any way I can change it to 17? It would be impossible for me to appear for exam on 24th due to job commitments. Please help 😞
