going by last year's paper ESI seems to tilt more towards current affairs,and FM towards static. if I were to start from the scratch and go ballistic over the next 18 days studying atleast 8hrs everydy would it be possible to score 75+ in both papers? anyone here that wrote phase 2 last year?

So guys after discussing and analysing questions in both the slots, it isalmost confirmed that the cutoff would be around 102-106(GEN) as the difficulty level of the exam was more or less comparable to that of 2014 and 2016 where the cutoff was 104 and 98 respectively. Don't get disheartened. Next time is always there. Good Luck

Do normalisation factor is applied sectionally or on all section..i mean if GA section of some slot has come easy then will it affect reasoning marks also...i am getting 98-102 marks but only 14-16 marks in reasoning during 1st shift..ny chances??
I think the cutoff as well as sectional cutoff is going to be high. The reason being, just look at whole 2014 paper. It is almost of the same difficulty level as this year's. The cutoff in 2014 overall-104, gs-32, maths-12, english-12 and reasoing-24. I fear this year the similar fate is waiting.

People here are so curious about cutoff and with their attempts being high and puys speculate cutoff to be high depending upon their attempts but the truth is even an 10th std kid will attempt 70+/80 by tukka ..so wait for few days probably for another 3 days u will come to know...issey acha koi material share kr do meherbani hogi...

Slot 2 There was no cloze test in english. ,no coding and inequality in reasoning. only 3q of directoon and blood test each data suffiency rather than quantity 1 and quantity 2 type qustion in quant, no number series in quant, only ga was slight easier than slot1 with almost no static .
It feels like some people are flag-bearers of their respective shifts. Whenever there is a post with an attack on the difficulty levels of their shifts, they pounce on that post with their counter-arguments. This is the real cut-throat competition now. Interesting times till result comes or may be following 2-3 days after that as well with some complaining that only a particular shift has been benefitted. Btw I'm from Morning shift and I feel GA was relatively difficult. :p
there is not going to be any kind of scaling.. cut off for open will lie between 100 to 105 only.. obc 90 to 95 and sc/st 85 to 90
