What were the 5marks questions asked in this year's mains? Someone plz elaborate if there are any calculations based questions in phase 2
NABARD Grade A vs RBI Grade B...pros and cons plz...
Those who have appeared for pre n mains RBI Grade B please help. Not able to decide what n how to read economic survey. Like chapter 8 on preferential trade agreement 2015- 2016, I m finding it useless but may be of great importance. Kindly help.
Does anyone have any info about the expected date of notification for this year? I am assuming that last time it was too late because of the pattern change and such right? So does that mean that we could expect the notif earlier this year?
Apart from Economic Survey and Union Budget, what are some important documents that one should go through?
How many of PG who appeared for Grade 'B' Interviews this time have done there PGDM or MBA from these colleges?

Hi guys. I am new to pagalguy. I will pass out of engineering this May. And I am already preparing for SBI PO. Would I be eligible to give the RBI grade b exam this year? And if so, would it be realistically possible for me to clear this exam if I start preparing from now? (consider that I am a fresher, have no work-exp, have no knowledge of economics/finance).
And if it is a realistic goal to clear this exam, would you guys also please share some strategies for preparing? Also, which is the best optional to pick?

Results to come on April 1st evening 7pm...
March 31st -> 1pm - All interviews will get over. Sardarji will email the marks of those 12-14 candidates to the GM RBISB HQ in Mumbai.
All they have to do is add these marks to the Mains marks. There is no marks synchronization between the optionals, no chennai vs non chennai equalization, nothing. All that was done before announcing the interview list.
Adding the interview marks to the Mains score is left. And most of the marks have already been added, coz interviews were going on for over 3 months. Update the marks excel sheet, sort it according to the marks. Take the top 134 ppl, (according to the reservation) And make the roll number list, according to regions. Will take 2 hours max.
March 31st - 7pm - Sardarji and his gang will reach Mumbai and take rest at home.
April 1st, Friday - 10am - The list is verified, rechecked for mistakes atleast three times, and forwarded to the RBISB chairman and board.
2pm - RBISB board will have a one-hour meeting and will put their signatures on the list and will forward the PDF to the website/info section of RBI.
4pm - 6pm - RBI website will make a new page, will upload the file, put the link on the frontpage and check for mistakes once again for the last time.
7pm - The webpage will go live and someone on pagalguy will ping all of us here. April 1st it is.

I started rbi preparation last month and realised that, I cant prepare economic survey, as I am not economic background, difficult to understand, I can't take that much pressure. I started Grade B preparation about a month back. Have finished the NCERT, started reading Mishra/Puri and current affairs magazines like pratyog darpan and have also finished Economic Survey in parts.
What I am about to ask might seem too pompous but please hear me out guys. What should be my strategy if I need to clear the cut-off this time in the Mains itself? What reports/books/websites should I read to make sure I score at least 220/300 in the mains?
I am determined to make sure I clear the cut off in mains as I am sure that if I do get through to the interview, I won't do well in it. Reason: My profile is laughable. Graduated from a college that no one even within the city knows. Have been unemployed for 4 years since graduation for no particular reason. Plus, I suck at interviews, end up giving an impression as being nervous at best and lame at worst.
So if you guys would be so kind as to suggest as to what I can do to ensure 100% that I would clear the cut-off in mains, I would really appreciate it.

i am weak in english. So started preparation from english. April may english vocabulary, ncerts. May budget. From june, daily the hindu, ESI, ramesh singh. Then, prasana chandra, google, business standard., arthapedia. Is it enough to crack this time???
