Guys, I'm facing a lot of demotivation frm my frnds that RBI is very tough to crack. Most of the selected are iim, nit or iitians. Chances are negligible for normal graduates without any work exp. Should I rather try for ibps, as I hve less time.? Is cracking RBI really that hard?

Hi Puys, it's been a while since I posted here. As soon as 2016 notification released, people were asking for materials which I used in preparation. I must say, most of my materials were through online note taking and standard books and I didn't prepare from any other materials as such. Anyway, I thought I'll upload whatever materials I have and also provide the links of the online materials which I used. And so yesterday, I had uploaded all my materials and links of online resources in my Google drive in the RBI Quora Blog: https://rbigrb.quora.com/ . Please read through my detailed blog post to clearly understand the purpose of the materials I have shared and do not be misled by them.
The Quora blog already has enough strategies and tips of 2015 successful candidates. And now with materials and sources, there is really nothing else remaining to push your preparation. It's all about execution now.
Based on my experience, I just
want to share some points. When last year's notification came out, I had no
idea that I would be in the final list. But, I believed and did work to
increase my chances of making it. Starting from today, you must work and believe
about your chances too! There are only about 15 days between Phase 1 and Phase
2. And trust me, about 5 days will be wasted after Phase 1 discussing about cut-off,
performance, results excitement. So, do start doing Phase 2 now itself. Divide
your daily preparation time into Phase 1 and Phase 2. Once, you clear the Phase
2 hurdle, you are almost there because Interview preparation is the most
exciting part of the exam and you will have decent amount of time to prepare
for it. (Interview process goes for about 2-3 months). So, getting through
Phase 1 and scoring high in Phase 2 should be your biggest priority right now. Write
20 quality online Phase 1 mocks and target 100% in English and Management in
Phase 2. Once you reach Interview stage, go for the kill. Also, the recruitment
process of RBI is extremely quick. If last year is a reference, by October 1st
week 2016 there will be around 700 candidates preparing for interview and by
January 1st week 2017, there will 163 new RBI Grade B officers. Hope
