I am basically a UPSC aspirant and AM at SIDBI!I would like to share my views on how to prepare for RBI phase 1 and phase 2 both. Phase 1- 1)make a note of monthly capsule of past 8 month from bankers Adda or grade up or gk today,focus more on economy related news 2)practice LR DI sets and quant from any god CAT practice test book 3)Make compodium of Various committed setup in last one year,India's ranking In various indexes,Modi's foreign visit in last one year and currency of countries visited. Phase 2) 1)Watch Mrunal videos on economy and economic survey and budget (140 videos in total)I bet they are the best source to study for phase 2 ESI and Finance part,and would also help in phase one and interviews. 2)Management is basic in nature and only learn topic wise from Wikipedia or googling 3)For some specific ESI or Finance topic left by Mrunla learn from Google or any source you like

Anything alternate to traditional form of investments gets categorized as alternative investments.
It refers to any privately pooled investment fund, (whether from Indian or foreign sources), in the form of a trust or a company which are not presently covered by any Regulation of SEBI nor coming under the direct regulation of any other sectoral regulators in India-IRDA,PFRDA, RBI
AIFs are categorized into the following three categories:
Category I - Those AIFs with positive spillover effects on the economy. Example: Venture Capital Funds, SME Funds etc.
Category II - Those AIFs for which no specific incentives or concessions are given. E.g. Private Equity or debt fund.
Category III Funds that are considered to have some potential negative externalities in certain situations and which undertake leverage to a great extent; with a view to make short term returns. No specific incentives or concessions from the government or any other Regulator. E.g. Hedge.
