Hi Everyone.
I see lot of questions and queries here for RBI Grade B exam and I hope I can clear some of the doubts.
I was in same situtation last year, but I think after I attempt I have better understanding now.
So first , as all of you must be aware is Prelims.
200 questions, 50 each from QA,VA,Reasoning and GA.
Question level in moderate to tough. If anyone is preparing for bank PO , SSC or CAT, he can clear this part. However competition is very high and so is cutoff.
Last year I think cutoff was 98 out of 200.
Time duration is 2 hours 20 minutes ( Maybe wrong a little, as I am not looking up on internet for facts, I am just sharing experience).
Prelims marks is not counted in Final merit list.
So do not over prepare.
Then we have, Mains.
First paper is English. This is subjective. We have to write Essay on a topic from given options and precis writing.
This part is very crucial , as this is totally in one's hand. A good score would be 70 ( Total marks is 100 ) as I've learnt. However managing Time is very crucial.
Next we have ESI(Economic and Social Issues) : This paper is completely different from other's , and is very vast to cover.
First thing, I would recommend is any economic book should be studied. I picked up Indian Economy by Ramesh Singh ( Only few chapters have to be studied, ask in comment if anyone needs help here).
Once we are done with this, read Economic survey. Forget the word read.
Economic surver will be your saviour. It is one big survey and summary will not be sufficent. I downloaded the full survery, summary of survey and then MCQs based on economic survey, I chose Vision IAS materail . They provide it for free.
You can choose any one based on your choice.
There are other reports which also one has to study and topics, like banking in india, IMF reports, Monetory and fiscal policies, Industrial and labour policy, Global meetings update like COP21 was for 2016. Then we have other reports also like caste sensus. Other topics are different ratios, Gini coeffecient, HDI, poverty line defination, exact value , how it is divided, and so on.
Do ask me if you need more help. But this points I have mentioned is good starting point.
And yes, 100 marks, no fixed number of questions. Marks for each question can be 1 or 2.
For Finance and Management:
This is not so vast , but is very difficult for those , who have not studied these both papers.
Management part is easy to cover . How managerail study evovled, Leadership theories, MBO, Motivational theories, Any basic management book should suffice, These are more topics also.
I downloaded IGNOU books, avaliable at Mrunal.
For Finance I took, I M Pandey book. Different ratios, types of Bonds, Corporate Finance, We also had numericals and fianance related current affairs topics.
Again 100 marks for finance and management section.
No fixed number of questions and breakup between Finance and management.
As for me , I did not clear Mains last year, Missed it , as I could not prepare so many topics in just 3-4 weeks. This time , I will obviously have better understanding and so I hope to help all those who will give this exam for the first time.

I ws reading national income part and came across factor cost... Please tel me why we add indirect taxes in factor cost and not direct tax... If we take market cost into account for gdp then we get inflated value coz of indirect taxes so is true for direct taxes also... Shudnt v subtract direct taxes also??... Pls throw sm light
