Reviews on GMAT coaching institutes in bangalore

Hi, I am planning to take the exam but pretty clueless about the whole thing.

Which class to join ?(in Bangalore)
How long a preparation would be enough? (planning to join in 2014-15)

Can someone help with the information, which would be good institute to ďťżtrain for GMAT exams and also help in mock interview, application review and short listing schools?

@sashm Hi Saswat - any reason you don't want to consider CrackVerbal for Quant. Here are some salient features:

1. For a small additional sum we can upgrade to the comprehensive course which includes 35 hours of Quant!

2. The Quant we have is meant for students already at a 45 raw score level to take them as close to a 50 as possible.

3. We expect you to do the pre-read, OG etc even before you come to the class so the sessions can be focused on taking you to the higher level.

4. We provide an Advanced Quant GMATPrep question bank and a CrackVerbal Quant Course book along with the course.

@Psychodementia Hi there,
I applied for ISB with a score of 620and was interviewed.But I haven't made it and I do realise that my score is on the lower side.I want to boost my score to 700 .My 620 has a split of q 45 and V 30.my problem is that I am posted at Assam and an online course may just be the option for me.Can you recommend as to what should be my approach.
@rochak22 We do have an online offering. Why don't you watch a video and decided for yourself:

Hi All,

I am planning to join a good GMAT coaching centre in bangalore.

Planning to join either 4GMAT or Crackverbal . By looking at the above discussions, i am assuming taht there wont be much stress on teaching Quant in Crackverbal????? I want equal importance on Quant as well as verbal. I am avergae in both Quant and verbal.

Regarding 4GMAT.. i heard their teaching is good in Quant and verbal is ok.

Please suggest me a and help me to decide which one to join. Thanks

ok, sorry newbie here.. just wanted to know does crackverbal take quant or just verbal for gmat ? looking for a class in bangalore so just wanted to know

do we have any student of crackverbal??

@Honeykwatra
I am a student and here is something that I posted a while back.

"I am a current student at CrackVerbal and I can assure you that CrackVerbal is definitely the most professional and organized coaching center in Bangalore. Their faculty is wonderful, always eager to help, their methodology is rock-solid and more importantly, they are honest about their promises. They keep it simple...they won't advise you to dive into tons of books or materials but they would tell you to learn from your mistakes, how to learn from your mistakes, how to improve and so on...

The teachers are experts in their topics and you can see that they are keen to share their knowledge. By the time you are halfway through the first class on any topic, you would realize that you were making novice mistakes earlier and that you are under expert guidance now.
I would advise you to set up an appointment with them and talk about it. I promise they won't try to 'sell' anything to you!"

I had done my digging about coaching institutes and was pretty clear that I wanted to join CV. But, CV exceeded my expectations and by a HUGE Margin. Always available, ready and keen to help. I remember a few points that impressed me and CV lived up to it.

Before I joined, they said:
“Faculty is qualified and here are their GMAT scores, but what matters is how much you manage to get out of them and their experience.”
“Your association with CV will end ONLY when you want it to end.”

Guess what, I don't want the association to end. Even now, Crackverbal is just a phone call or email away.
:)

@jodoubt
Both. And they have periodic 'Quant Booster' workshops that are free to attend. So, sign up for one and you can decide after that.

@rohit170985 thanks dear, you really shared valuable info...:)

thanks rohit..i shall do tht.

For those in Bangalore, on April 6th, there's an information session that I came across. It covers:

·Planning for the GMAT
·The importance of the GMAT score
·Ideal work experience
·Extra-curricular/Co-curricular activities and Social service
·An idea of competition
·Choosing the right colleges
·Tackling application essays
·Preparing a resume
·Choosing and managing your recommenders
·Engaging with colleges
·Application rounds
·Preparing for an interview
·In-person vs phone vs Skype interviews
·Online B school admissions chats
It is at Mount Carmel College and the charge is INR150 for a 2.5 hour interactive session and would have some impressive list of attendees on the panel.

Dear Admins: Am I allowed to post a link to the event? I have never plugged an event. I am just doing this because I've received Private Messages about admissions, GMAT, essays etc and I think such a platform ought to answer some of those concerns.

Friends this is Vibhore, working in Bangalore for past 3 years in a marketing co. and I am planning to take GMAT exam, may be by Nov/Dec. Please suggest me a good coaching institute for GMAT prep.
BTW I visited Byju's Classes to know more about it. I met thr Verbal and Quant trainer and was quite impressed by thr profile and methodology used by thm.
I would like to give a visit/try to more institutes before joining the final one.... so frnds, i would need few inputs frm u.

Thanks
Vibhore Kaushal

@Vibhorek
I Vibhore, if you go through some posts on this thread, you will come across a reverence for Crackverbal. Do try them out. They are the absolute best. No false promises, no 'selling', no obligations. I know people that attended a demo class and paid the fees halfway through the demo class.
Also, there is an information session that I came across. It covers all the aspects of GMAT prep and admission process.
Here is the link:

Admins: I had sought permission a week back and received no objections and thus I am posting the link.

Hey Guys,

I totally agree with what Rohit has to say about the Crackverbal Team.

Just to add a few more lines from my experience.

So before Joining them i went around a few coaching institues and clearly i thought Crackverbal had a Personal Touch,that i was looking for.

Well to simply state they are always there to help, even for the smallest of the doubts.Arun and Gowri are simply amazing at what they do. The methods/approach taught are as Rohit said "Rock-solid".

I took classes for quant and the faculty member Akshay was impressive.

Plus all faculty teaching at crackverbal have taken GMAT so that helps a lot, you can ask for suggestions on the general things also such as application process,experiences, and strategy.

That being said the best way to decide whats good for you is to attend demo classes at whatever institute you seem fit.Crackverbal offers demo class for both quant and verbal.My suggestion will be to take up demo class and decide.

Just to quote Rohit again[Sorry Rohit but it seems u took the lines right out of my head 😃 ]

“Your association with CV will end ONLY when you want it to end.Guess what, I don't want the association to end. "

All the best

@roy1088

Thankfully, I don't charge based on the number of times I am quoted. :P

I want prospective students to have a clear understanding on what they are walking into.It is the human aspect of a coaching institute that distinguishes it from the rest. At Crackverbal, you are treated like a mature individual who needs guidance and whose suggestions are valued.

They are coming up with an internet offering and it is SUPER news for people in distant places.
