@akki_d_ace my intrvw was in chennai...I asked there and they told result will be declared on or after 15th jan...
but so many rumors came out over here that result will be announced soon....
In actual No one has the idea when the result will be announced....everything is just a guess here..
so we can wait only...
Hope the results comes positive for every1 over here.......

@slendereyes Sir, I guess everybody is ready for IES. 2013 will be tough competition to IES aspirants owing to limited recruitment in Electrical and Electronic sector. Regarding other 2 IES branches; they would be same as previous year trends.

Central Electrical and Mechanical Engineering Service (Electrical Engg. Posts).
Indian Naval Armament Service (Electrical Engineering Posts).
Indian Ordnance Factories Service.
Central Power Engineering Service (Electrical Engineering Posts).
Indian Defence Service of Engineers (Electrical Engineering Posts).
Assistant Naval Stores Officer, Grade-I (Electrical Engineering Posts) in Indian Navy.
Indian Supply Service Group 'A' (Electrical Engineering Posts).

These are all Central Govt. Gazetted and non ministerial jobs. Mostly Group A. In general, there are approx. 500+ vacancies each year. The posting is at ALL INDIA basis wherever vacancies finds suitable.

@User.000 actlly i'm waiting for ies 2012 result and will be writing ies 2013....so any one here would lyk to put some light on ......cut off marks for this year(electrical)...as per the trend it should be near 360 but paper was easy so it may go upto 380.....
IES cutoff marks are usually 45 %. There are 1200 marks (including interview) => 45% of 1200 = 540. The paper is easy as you wish; => around 600 will be cutoff after interview. (JUST GUESSING)
@dopeshopepaper never comes tough as far as cut off is concerned ......for checking of the paper it can never be more than 200 in objective papers because of the no. of candidates they have to take and including conventional .and around 340 overall. And if you have reached the mark of 550 including interviews you will get something. I'm also waiting for the same result....... And this was being told in made easy lucknow so might be wrong..............
@prassibhai dude if u're from ele then u have noticed that ele paper was easy as compared to prvs years.....and many of my frnds did well in objective...actlly after checking i'was getting 285 in objec (3papers) and i expect i'll get around 130-160 that makes it around 415 in written....but many of them are saying that may be this year cut off for this year will be as high as 400...but i think it will be around 380 at max in written..............what's ur branch dude?
