Guys, this is it.
I very well think that I have lost the chance to work in SBH. To begin with, it was a culmination of all the bad things that could have happened did happen. I for one was working in a private company. Though the results where declared long back, I was uncertain if I would be eligible due to my medical conditions. As such I haven't resigned from the company per say.(Why would you if you are uncertain that may be disqualified due to your medical condition - My eyesight was a bit greater than the recommended one ).
So I show up for verification and surprisingly it goes well(What a relief). Then comes the shocker. I need to give my reliving letter, They can provide a extension of 10 to 15 days and not more than that. Now my current company has an amazing rule - They need to have a notice period of 3 months. According to them, you can't buy the notice period. If you need a reliving letter, you need to serve 3 months. No exceptions. The HR was like " We are a CMM5 level company. We have our own rules and regulation. We can't allow people to leave just like that. We need to follow our regulations." After this interaction, I now realize why HR's are the most hated people in a company. So even if I resign now, I wouldn't be able to give a reliving letter by the beginning of October which is when people start getting their job posting. No point in loosing a bird in hand for a peacock in the bush I guess.
So in the end I mean to say, unless you can provide a reliving letter, don't mention that you are currently working somewhere in your Application form.I have learnt it the hard way.
Still I am hoping there might be a way but this looks more and more unlikely.
