An officer from Madurai, S. Dhanasekhara has filed a writ petition in Madras HC for equality of salary of JMGS-1 with Class-1 officers of central govt. The ground of petition is a Notification by Central Government, Ministry of Finance, Government of India where it was informed by the Central Government that Class-1 Officer of Central Government is equivalent to Officer in JMGS-1 of the Banks. About 11th BPS, the latest news is that govt has asked IBA to settle it at 12% hike and relevant decisions will be taken on Sep29,2018.
