To all those who have two options : sbi clerk and BOB PO. 1) Salary in bob after paying emi will be 30,000 aprox(for 7 years). And that too will begin after 1 year. Moreover, if you switch to some other job later then you will lose (4 lac + interest of around 2 lac + bond money) 2) Salary in sbi clerk will be around 20k to 22k. No bond. You can leave whenever you get a better opportunity. Just one month notice period. Conclusion: if you believe that you can crack the upcoming exams and get ibps PO or SBI PO this year or next then go for sbi clerk as you will get time for preparation too. And even if you won't be selected. After 3 years you can become SBI PO. Moreover, money earned in SBI clerk after 3 years = 20,000*36 = 7,20,000 Whereas in BOB PO = 30,000*24 (24 months becuase of 12 month training) = 7,20,000 And after 3 years you will get 40k if you get promoted to SBI PO through internal process. Where in BOB it will again be 30k. 2) join BOB if you are in doubt that you will ever switch job.
