Anyone having the cutoff details for last year's exam?I am referring to the final cut off, which includes the cut off marks for gd-pi and interview as well.
A lot of people have confusion regarding how the final merit is prepared ... here is how it is done
i wil take my own case....
148 out of 200 (obj.).... 25 out of 50 (desc.).... adds upto 173 out of 250 ( cutoff cleared ..for interview...(151/250 for general))
then.... 41 out of 50 in gd+ pi... so total 214 out of 300...
NOW..
whatever one get out of 250.... is first divided by 2.5... and then multiplied by 0.75
so , in my case...
173/2.5 = 69.2
multiply 69.2 with 0.75 = 51.9...... (this is value 1)
whatever you get in interview... divide it by 2... so in my case.... 41/2 = 20.5 (value 2)
add value 1 + value 2 together ...these are your final marks (out of 100)
51.9 + 20.5 = 72.4 (out of 100 )..... cutoff was 63 out of 100 (for general)
