BANNING BEEF ! IS IT JUSTIFIED

India is a secular ,democratic and diversified country. People living here have liberty to choose what they love to wear ,read ,think ,speak as well as eat.It cannot force anyone and teach anyone what they should eat and what not. That's why there has been a hue and cry ever since the maharashtra government announced a ban  on the sale and possession of beef in the state , under the "MAHARASHTRA ANIMAL PRESERVATION BILL" 1995 resulting in a fine of rs 10,000 or imprisonment upto 5 years.

This issue of banning the slaughter of cow family has rekindled the flame of debate between religion and secularism. The whole society has been divided into 2 sections .some consider it is a good step and will lead to banning all kinds of animal slaughter in future, which in turn encourage people to be vegetarian.Curtail slaughter of innocent animals that are mercilessly killed in the name of puja and rituals. Will end the riots related to cow and bull slaughter.Empowered animals rights.

While some see it as an injustice towards minority .An intrusion into the freedom and rights of people.A sectarian step by the state government backed by central government to turn diverse India into a Hindu country.Depriving poor section from proteins, since it is a cheaper source of protein. Also resulting in loss of export , rise in unemployment ,leaving pharma industries into shambles as many of their products involve ingredients like fats from buffaloes. Will also hamper cattle economy as people generally nurture them to earn for their living.

Analysing  the whole situation it can be concluded that everything has its 2 sides-positive and negative ,it depends on us how we implement them.As every problem comes with a solution in the same way every chaos gives us a chance to introspect where we went wrong. Thus government should make efforts to balance majority sentiments with minority needs. Not just ban beef but all kinds of flesh trading activity so that no one feel cheated and if cannot control it should try to regulate it ,by taxing heavily ,providing new opportunities so that they can leave this profession .IN short this issue should not be looked by religious or political angle but as a wider socio-economic and democratic angle wherein everyone has a win win situation.

Entrepreneurial failure.

In every society, firms perform three functions, the social function, the managerial function, and the entrepreneurial function.  The social function defines the very existence of the firm as a social institution: the serving of consumer and social needs; the provision of employment and income for labor; and the contribution of funds the support of the local and national community. The managerial function of the firm determines how economic resources should be allocated to alternative uses, and how different tasks are to be performed. The entrepreneurial function accommodates the discovery and exploitation of new business opportunities-the most important function, as it keeps the firm alive for decades, even centuries to come.

The three functions aren't independent from each other. The social function, for instance, imposes different constraints on the entrepreneurial and managerial functions, while the entrepreneurial and the managerial functions impose their own constraints on the social function. This means that a failure in any of the three functions undermines the other two functions, and if it goes unchecked, can end in the demise of the organization. That's exactly what happened in the case of Eastman Kodak.

In its early days, the company excelled in all three functions. In the social area, it generated thousands of jobs; and contributed resources to the national, state, and the local, Rochester, community. In the managerial area, it executed a shrewd marketing strategy by bundling nicely its cameras with the film processing photography technology, often giving cameras away to sell its film and processing chemicals, as Goggle (NASDAQ:GOOG), and Microsoft (NASDAQ:MSFT) have been doing these days. In the entrepreneurial area, it offered consumers innovative products that allowed them to capture everyday moments.

Over time, however, the company failed to come up with new versions of its products that will fed-off imitators, as Apple (NASDAQ:AAPL) has been doing in recent years-Polaroid and Fuji's challenge is the case in point. The company further failed to leverage its core competences and capabilities in photography chemistry to expand into emerging industries, as other late 19th century American companies did. Corning Inc. (NYSE:GLW), for instance, survived and thrived by leveraging its core capabilities, the processing of glass substances, to develop a sting of blockbuster products, the glass for Edison's electric lamp, the traditional TV tubes, the heat-resistant glass for missiles and kitchen ware, the fiber-optic cables that

power the Internet, and the glass for flat panel TVs. Procter & Gamble (NYSE:PG) has also survived and prospered by constantly replenishing and expanding its product portfolio to address emerging consumer needs.

The Bottom Line: Eastman Kodak's decline and fall is a failure of its leaders to develop the appropriate buffers to keep competition from imitating and replicating its strategy; and to match effectively corporate resources and capabilities with emerging market opportunities-an entrepreneurial failure that eventually undermined its other two functions, leading to its demise.

essay on net neutrality (400 words 32 min taken)

A world without internet  cannot be imagined  today. The Internet is the most important development in the history of human communication. The underlying principle on which the internet was developed was that it is free for all space otherwise it would have been a large cluster of different networks. Net Neutrality Violation will grossly defeat the core  principle of the internet and will cause irreparable damage to its core.   What is net neutrality and Why should we care? Was the burning issue on social media when TRAI recently asked for public opinion  while  issuing a consultation paper on regulatory framework on over the top services like watsapp,Viber and skype.

Net neutrality is simplistic words is considering all data and websites  equally accessable   .Net neutrality ensures that all websites, application etc are considered  the same and equal resources is given to  them. Now one may be intrigued as why would  TRAI would think of touching this even playing field at all.The answer lies with internet services provider and telecom companies which have been lobbying for charging these ott services extra ie one has to pay extra in order to use these services. For telecom operators it is open and shut case, their argument being that they have to cough up enormous  amount to buy spectrum ,to provide the infrastructure etc and  otp services like watsapp, viber etc who are using their resources are making them redundant .Hearing this argument this may seem like a  legit step but one should also keep in mind that data usages of consumers are going north and infact is stout earning source for telecom companies.

Another idea that is being floated around is zero plans, for ex airtel zero.In such plans telecom companies will charge the ott service provider and in return their consumer can access it for free. Now this might seem as an innocuous step to consumer at first but in long run burden of that charge given to telecom companied by otp service provider is bound to come upon the consumer. Moreover it kills the business prospects of any rival start up company. For ex a company like watsapp could pay a telecom company and in return their app will be free to use where as a rival  start up which may not have the same resources will be provided with discriminated charges. This will kill the idea of internet based  entreprenourship.

Thus to conclude the argument of telecom companies is debatable but the internet shouldnot be touched in any way.Afterall this is one place where nobody is discriminated.

Please review.Any constructive criticism,Any missed point etc
