As some of you might have heard already, yesterday one of the PO from the batch of SBI 2014 was suspended from duty (pending a final decision) as the bank believes that he/she did a serious fraud during the recruitment process (he/she allegedly sent someone else to appear in the written exam on their behalf).
So just a fair warning guys: Do not, and I repeat do not, engage in any such shenanigans during the recruitment process. Whether it's your educational documents, work experience certificates or any other small matter - do not lie about anything during the process. SBI HR department has become very strict about such things, and sooner or later you will get caught (like this one did).

Article: Good Policies or Good Government, which is more important?
One sad irony of the developing world is that governments fail in their most basic tasks, such as defining property rights and enforcing the law, while piling on other kinds of heavy-handed regulation. Economists have asked whether these kind of regulations are less of a "helping hand" for society and more of a "grabbing hand" for corrupt bureaucrats whose opportunities to extort bribes rise along with the number of government permits and licenses required for any endeavor.
To grow and prosper, our country needs laws, law enforcement, courts, basic infrastructure, a government capable of collecting taxes-and a healthy respect among the citizenship for each of these things. These kinds of institutions are the tracks on which capitalism runs. Corruption is not merely an inconvenience; it is a cancer that misallocates resources, stifles innovation, and discourages foreign investment.
So basically, good governance matters. The World Bank rated 150 countries on six broad measures of governance, such as accountability, regulatory burden, rule of law, corruption, etc. There was a clear relationship between better governance and better development outcomes, such as higher per capita incomes, lower infant mortality, and higher literacy.
A bad governance means the opposite.
The more sophisticated our economy becomes, the more sophisticated our government institutions need to be. The Internet is a perfect example. The private sector is the engine of growth for the web economy, but it is the government that roots out fraud, makes on-line transactions legally binding, settles disputes, and deals with issues that we have not even thought about yet.
Also, it is the government's task to enact various policies and schemes. Good policies can help maintaining strong employment growth, low unemployment, and expanding wages among workers. The successful MGNREGA programme is a prime example. It has successfully generated countless jobs and has employed millions of people since the day of its launch in Feb, 2006. More programs, such as Make in India, Digital India are on their way to becoming reality. Digital India alone aims at creating 18 lakh jobs.
Government has the potential to enhance the productive capacity of the economy and make us much better off as a result. Thus, the notion that smaller government is always better government is simply wrong.
