plz help,
Fresh grapes contain 80% waterby weight, whereas dried grapescontain 15% water by weight. How many kg of dried grapes canbe obtained from 3.4 kg of freshgrapes?
why my ans comes as 1.19kg.
my way- in 100g s of grapes, 80 g s is water which is left to 15 gs . then net wight will be 15 plus 20 = 35, means 35% of original weight. m i wrong? explain.

I would like to draw your attention to the poor condition of raods and de-funct strret lights which are causing unnecessary trouble for the people in our area.
Last time , these roads were dug out for sever line maintenance and after that task was completed and the these road were left as it is .It is getting so troublesome for people that there are frequent accident due to stumbling, sometimes vehicles get stuck and it causes huge traffic.Little children face problem in walking to school.This condition worsens in rainy season because of huge water logs.This is also causing the production of Mosquitos.
Along with this , Street lights have been defunct for a long time now.It is also causing casual accidents.People are afraid to out in the evening hours .
I, therefore , request you to take the necessary action to facilitate this so that people in the area can have good roads and street lights.

essay on women empowerment
Women constitute 48% of Indian population but they are not given empowerment. Women empowerment is defined as the freedom of choices given to women in social, economic , political and other spheres. In India, throughout history, women has been given high position and it is considered that where women is respected, god himself resides there.
In this era of globalization, giving women their share of respect and empowerment has been utmost important. Women has played a very important role in development of India. But still, number of issues has restricted the women to play a more proactive role.
In india, women suffers from number of issues and this discrimination starts from the birth itself. The low female male sex ratio in various states of our country tells the true story. Due to issues like povery and lack of education opportunities, women tend to suffer. Then social dictates like early marriage and then pressure for having a male child, all these things causes mental torture to a women. The issues of domestic violence and rapes has become quite common in our society. No wonder, India's rank is very low in Gender Inequality Index.
Various schemes has been launched by Indian government to empower women. After the 1991 reforms, major act related to decentralization came in form of 73rd and 74th constitutional amendment act. Under this act, women has been given reservation of 1/3rd seats in Panchayati Raj Institutions. Also, first women oriented bank has been opened in India- Bhartiya Mahila Bank. In priority sector lending also, women self help groups are given loans on a priority basis. Beti Bachao Beti Padao scheme has been launched recently which also aim to improve sex ratio and education of women. Various laws for security of women has been amended and made stringent like laws related to stringent punishment in rape cases. There are 3 women chief ministers in India currently. Thus, we are moving towards a better culture and environment for women in India.
However, the main issue is of the mental attitude of the people. The patriarchal mindset of men in our society tend to restrict women in all spheres. There is an urgent need to work on that. For example- khap panchayats in some states decides for women- what to wear, what to eat and above all who to marry. In india, women has played a great role in the development form Rani Laxmibai to Indira Gandhi and Kalpana Chawala.
Our society needs to be sensitive to needs and rights of women. The children from the primary schools itself should be taught about respecting women. We need to implement all schemes related to women welfare effectively with proper monitoring and periodic analysis. Mere financial inclusion will not work to strengthen women, we need to give women proper space and respect in social, political and other spheres of life too. Only then, women empowerment can be truly meaningful.

Sir,
With due regard I would like to draw your sincere attention towards the poor road and traffic lights conditions in Laxmi Nagar. The roads of the locality are the worst tha ever and no maintenance have been done since long. Open manholes are adding to the problem. Waterlogging has become a regular phenomenon. The roads of Kalyan Nagar and Shekhpur streets witness drain water flowing on the roads.Due to poor garbage management,garbage are oftenly found spilled on the roads only. This is leading to frequent traffic jams.The condition of street lights is no different. Most of them are out of function.More than half of the street poles are living their final days.Due to irregular power supply,these traffic lights are often found in dark.
So in all,the condition is really pitiable and quick action is required. I request you to look into the issue and get the issue resolved as sson as possible.Hoping for quick redressal.
