It is given That total value of books is Rs 120 Lakh.Now no. of english books is 21% of total books.
What i do is :expand 12000000 so that i can get confirmed whether the term will be in lakhs,thousands after reduction.
12000000 * 21/100 ==lakh
In book,they solve it like this:120 lakh * 21/100 = some term in lakh
how do they know it will be surely in lakh as it could be in thousand as well.

This speculation of Cutoff thing has spiraled into a proverbial tsunami and has led to massive unrest in the forum.
Please read my post and think out the scenario.
The Moderation of the speculation has been asked by the students who dont want the rumors to take hold and hence the moderator has taken the action.
Now the Cutoff speculation should not worry anybody.

So everyone has given the exam to best of their ability. If selected then well done and if unfortunately not selected other exams are their and try one more time
So it is in human nature to worry about future and hence both parties react like the way it is. Cutoff speculators want to sure their safety. Cutoff avoiders want to have peace for a while.
This mixture has taken a toxic turn.
My advice to the students who gave exam. Relax no one can change the cutoff. If it has to happen it will happen Otherwise keep trying till you get.

I assume, you are from higher level of management in the company and Since wield the power to do, what some of the students asked.
Banning will not achieve what you//company is set out to achieve. It will only make the matter worse. The forums strength is by its member and their ability to express their opinions.
What I have learnt is threatening will rarely work in this age of technology. Since the student have many forum to do their things. At Best this will do to alienate the students community more and they will start avoiding the forum.
So keep a balanced view of situation and only ban genuine speculators and not the worried candidates asking from experienced students about the past trends.
