Hi I am a member of a Government registered NGO and i have done a few activities like cleaning the rural and forest area and planting trees and teaching govt school children on weekend on a few occasions since my college days.

sabse pehle, 50 paise coins are called small coins and 1,2,5,10 are called rupee coins !!
currency refers to bank notes which at present are in the denomination of 10,20,50,100,500,1000 they are called bank notes because they are issued by RBI.
note- printing of notes in denomination of 1,2 and 5 have been discontinued as these denominations have been coinised !!
bank notes can also be issued in the denomination of 5000 and 10000 !!
now what is legal tender?
every coin issued under section 6 of coinage act 2011 as well as all the bank notes issued by RBI i.e. 2,5,10,20,50,100,500,1000 shall be legal tender at any place in india and shal be guaranteed by central government under sub section(2) section 26 of RBI Act, 1934 !!
'i promise to pay" means bank notes is a legal tender for the specified amount,which means that it is the obligation of the bank to exchange the bank note with currency of lower denomination or lower coins which are of legal tender !!
Matlab agar aap 1000 ka note denge to uske badle me bank aapko 10 ke 100 note degi,ya fir 1 ke coins jo ki legal tender hai !!
one rupee coin is liability of the government because because it is issued by the government so it is also a liability of the central government , but the circulation of those coins is done by rbi !!
In terms of Section 25 of RBI Act, 1934 the design of banknotes is required to be approved by the Central Government on the recommendations of the Central Board of the Reserve Bank of India. The responsibility for coinage vests with the Government of India on the basis of the Coinage Act, 2011 as amended from time to time. The Government of India is also responsible for the designing and minting of coins in various denominations.
indian currency notes are token money because their face value is less than their intrinsic(real) value !!
why is rs 1 currency notes back ?
isnt government incurring loss on printing plus carrying those curency notes? provided their life is too less, paper is not free of cost, it costs trees, big deal for the government !! koi explain krde !!
