Ratio comparision trick( For those who are not very fond of maths. Rest 99% of the aspirant knows about it I guess)
Suppose you have two ratios, say 5/8 & 13/15 and we need to figure the greater ratio.
Simply cross multiply them and compare the new ratio (wrt old ratio)
5/8 & 13/15
=(5*15)/(8*13) & (13*8)/5*15)
=75/104 & 104/75
clearly 104/75 is greater
therefore 13/15 > 5/8
*comes handy during close valued ratios.
