Blockchain Technology: It’s a decentralized currency transfer system.
How is it different from traditional bank system: A traditional bank system is a centralized system. When a transaction is made by the user, the details of it are sent to his banks’ database and verified. Whereas a blockchain system is a decentralized system, that means instead of details being sent to a single computer, they are sent to an entire network of computers called ‘nodes’.
Decentralized system explanation: It is similar to the p2p transfer system used in torrents. When someone makes a transaction, instead of sending the information to a single database, the information is encrypted and sent to a p2p network ( basically lots of computer connected to a network).
Blockchain technology explanation: Suppose a customer opens an SBI account and deposits 1000 rupees in it. In a blockchain system, a block is created, which consists of the user’s ID, amount transferred and a timestamp. This block can never be edited. The block is then sent to a lot of computers where it is added to a series (aka chain) of previous blocks. This chain or series is called a blockchain.
Now if the same customers tranfers 500 rupees to a HDFC bank account, again block is created and the details are checked against the existing blockchain. SInce the transaction is valid, 500 rupees are transferred and the block is added to the blockchain.
Suppose the same SBI customer (account balance Rs. 500) now transfers 2000 rs. to an ICICI account, a new block is created and verified against the blockchain. Since the transaction is invalid (low account balance), no new block is created.
Why is blockchain tech. more advantageous than the traditional bank transaction system: Suppose the server farm where SBI stores its database gets hacked, or is compromised by a man made error, or is destroyed by a terrorist attack or natural calamities such as floods, earthquakes etc, the whole customer database gets severely compromised. Which means all of the bank balance info, loans info, and other information vanishes instantaneously.
However, this is not the case in blockchain, since there is no database, information of every transaction is sent to millions of computers in form of blocks. Even if thousands of computers get compromised, the details are safe in other computers. It also help banks to reduce banks their costs since all the database/ server related cost is eliminated.

Bhaiyo bilkul prepare nhi kiya tha. Engineering student hu isliye baaki Sab to kr diye but ga Maine sabme b maar kr aaya tha. Experience ke liye exam diya tha. But BC ho gya mains main. So I want to ask do they ask a lot about banking in Interview cuz I don't have any damn idea.

last year 4700 students were shorlisted for gdpi.this year its 6200.definitely mains cutoff is atmost around 55-60.but why more students this year for same vacancies.what if i am falling below 70 marks.its is waste then to give gd.is interview wajah se kuch padhai bhi nahi ho rahi.i have attempted only 91 marks paper
